And as two moms of preteens, we definitely had to check it out and give our our reaction to America's Sweetheart! Lets face it, TikTok stars Chase and Charli are half our age, so we had to figure out what young people are up to these days ;P

The song is about their break up ,he loved her so much but when they broke up he was so alone in quarantine and couldn’t go anywhere,their relationship was hard bc she didn’t live in the same state and he was so hated hence “I am the bad guy” but now they are best friends and probably back together

@@Momjo I use the word "friends" lightly with them because one reason they broke up is because she's was turning 16 and he turned 18 not long after they broke up now on May 1st she will be 17 and May 15th he will be 19

Yes it was Charli and the song is about the darkness and loneliness he went through after his break up with Charli back in April 2020, their relationship was in the eyes of millions of people and the toxicity of social media took over he situation and made things worse for both of them, but mostly Chase, who was being hated a lot. Now time has passed and people now is starting to notice Chase’s growth and also it seems that him and Charli are trying things again.

they actually broke up twice but one of biggest ones was when chase kissed another girl in the beginning of their relationship. everyone hated him for it and sent him death threats while charli was basically praised and everyone showed sympathy for her when both of them were hurting. they talked it all out and now they remain great friends!!
