It feels like Lili's combos are so hard to pull off, even beginners. The inputs are so over the place and the timings feel so punishing, coming from Xiaoyu. People said Lili is easier than Xiaoyu...

Lili is a combo specialist character, as opposed to other types such as King for grappling or Paul for high damage,. In other words she excel in the ability to have a dizzying number of combo possibilities . This can be very daunting for beginners since Tekken is very complex compared to other FGs. Meaning as a combo specialist Lili has more combo routes than average characters . Either search for another character with different features or just stick to beginner combos for now. It's quite normal for progression to expert level to take a couple of years or more

Ahhh I’m so glad you’re enjoying the combos! Hmm I would say your best option would be to tornado early with a qcf3 if you can, depending on the combo and mix and match from the routes in the video, depending on your desired distance like u3,3; 3,2; or another qcf3! I hope this helps!

Can I ask for some advice? How I do know when to input dew glide or her while standing moves. Sometimes in my combos I accidentally use while standing instead of qcf and it's quite annoying esp while in the middle of gameplay. 😢

Her while standing moves are typically coming out from a deeper dew glide motion.. if you hold forward at the end of qcf you should be able to get into that sort of state, you might need to play around with it in practice mode to get a feel for it

You can fit a ff3 dew glide cancel after most wall/floor break combos that end in Rage Art for 1 more damage.

You’re either doing the f2,3 too slowly or the ff3 too slowly which is why the combo breaks up in the middle, try to play around with the timing!

Also can I add that: immediately after you do ff3 if you hold f, you should see lili dew glide. If you don't see the dew glide then keep practicing ff3, f by itself. Once you see the glide, press 3

Thank you! The trick is to start charging up ff1+2 as soon as you’re able to move after bt1,2. Bt1,2 is also the most consistent way to get it in. I hope it helps!

At 11min49 after db3 xiaoyu stay close to you but in practice my opponent go far away. Hi babe! CH in the video means Counter Hit so you need to make sure that you turn it on in practice mode or ki charge to get into a state where your next attack will counter the opponent! I think this should fix your issues! Thank you for watching!

Sometimes in the higher ranks especially in this game, a few points of damage really make the difference. Also, with some of the more advanced combos, you have a lot more flexibility due to the cancels meaning that you can activate heat at almost any given dew glide cancel within the combo since you’ll be close enough to your opponent. Tbh, I have tried a lot of characters, currently main Lili and nina and kazuya. But imo Lili has the hardest combos because it is very timing heavy. Nina’s combos are ez but optimal combos are very hard and even more precise. I can’t seem to get the timing right on Lili, those side steps and stuff are going to be the end of me😂

The key is to use a deep dew glide to go into ws moves. This ender won’t work if you do b1,4 on a wall splat tho to tornado so keep that in mind also!

Nothing changed as far as I’m aware, you must start charging up as soon as you’ve landed your tornado, sort of buffer the ff1+2 input into it. I hope this helps!

You have to delay the f1,4 as much as you can by holding f during the dew glide motion. If you see the opponent almost touching the ground then you should press the f1,4. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I would say start by working on cancelling within a combo where you have u3,3f going into b1… this way you can check the timing and get comfortable with it. The only thing I would say, you have to be quite fast with the up input after forward and don’t hold onto up for too long otherwise you might get jumps or sidesteps

Hello, FF 1+2 (hold) after BT 1 2 is so inconsistent in combos. Other characters have extremely easy inputs (Example Asuka). I can’t do FF 1+2 buffer in ranked. Have any advice ?

I think FF1+2 is a bit difficult online depending on connection… I’d say if you see the connection to your opponent is a bit shaky, don’t go for it but my best advice would be as soon as you land the bt1,2 in a combo start spinning! Bt1,2 should be the most reliable out of her tornadoes!

It’s very tight but a little trick I found getting it to work was pressing Up or Down right before the fast QCF motion. I’m not sure why this works but I think it just sort of resets her state after the launch so she can go into dew glide easier!

Yes combos should be altered depending on wall distance, you should be able to change and adapt most of these routes to suit wall carry purposes since maps are of different sizes

hey does anyone have any advice on getting consistent with WS2 into BT3,4 for the combo at 13:55? its been a few days of practice but it feels like 30% of the time the BT3 doesn't hit. is there a trick i'm not seeing or is it just tight timing?

There’s not really much of a trick, I would say just try to input the 3 as soon as you see her go into backturn

It's not just ws2, it's actually ws2b into bt3, 4. So try inputting ws2back then you are automatically in BT state ready for 3,4

Hey i play on ps5 controller. I struggle so much when it comes to dew glide cancel. I want to do the expert version of the first combo 1:01 but i’m not sure how fast i need to make the next input after pressing up to cancel dewglide(dash)

The next input after you cancel by pressing up should be almost immediate as the cancels are very tight usually in combos. I suggest trying out the cancels with a different combo first doing only 1 at a time, for example d3+4, u3,3f u 2 was a pretty standard practice tool for me when I was learning the timing

I think it is a question of timing, often you need to do a deeper qcf motion to get into a crouching state then release to get ws moves! You need to sort of “feel” it in practice mode! I hope this helps!

That's because it's not out of dew glide. It's our of a crouch dash. Dew glide is qcf, but a crouch dash is just d,df without the forward at the end. So do d,df 1,2 and you'll see

Yes the cancels are very useful for damage and flexibility in this game!

All you need to do is practice b1f tap up in practice mode and Lili should cancel and get a small step into the background. I recommend practising first from a matterhorn combo eg. D3+4 U3,3F U 1 for consistency

The combo at 22:57 is so difficult Like the timing betweent gh fc 23X and glide x is impossible to hit I always whiff it as 4X and it never comes out and if it does it does not wind up

It is a very tight timing yes, I would say try to press Up or Down right before you do an instant dew glide 3! I found that a lateral movement input works very well before hitting, just make sure it’s not held down enough to sidestep or jump

@@dewglider so how do you have a such perfect movement for the combos in advanced and expert I just don't get it. I am a newcomer and chose to be a Lili main but I can't do the most combos you showed, its so difficult and you can even dew glide. Do you have any tips?

@@DonXhichotte I would say start with the beginner ones first until you get comfortable with the timing on connecting moves together. Then when you are ready try dew glide cancelling in practice mode just b1f u, b1f u.. outside combos. I recommend trying a d3+4 combo with u3,3 as a follow up for practice also. Example D3+4, U3,3F U 1. This will get you feeling the cancel timing better

Set the counterhit on for the player on the menu and then do up up or down down 1+2

Like 90% of the ones with heat engager in the middle of them don't connect consistently.

I think a lot of the heat burst combos have a dew glide cancel right before the 2+3. You might need to practise the cancels to get them consistently, that is why they’re in the advanced/expert section. But you can do your heat burst after a tornado if the cancels are too difficult for now!

2:34 I’m having the hardest time either hitting the held move or the heat activation afterwards. Any tips?

The held move is a bit tricky, you have to be pressing ff1+2 almost instantly as soon as you see bt1,2 land. For the heat activation, I’d say mash the heat burst button right as you land ff1+2.

@@10000Needles the trick with that is to do a very deep dew glide so that you travel faster towards the wall and cover more distance!
