There's just something about Melody that is so mesmerizing. Between that voice and her intensity, just leaves you dumbfounded. Aby was in Minnesota when they shot the video, hence why she does not appear during the chorus part. Merry Christmas!!

This was the first time the band filmed, produced, directed the whole video without their dad guiding them, they have learned so much from him that this great video was created. Awesome job liliac, Awesome job papa liliac

I think Abigail might have been home in Minnesota, recorded her part and Sam edited it in. That would also explain why her background was different from the upstairs and studio of the family home in Georgia. 😉. This was a spur of the moment project, they called their parents who were on vacation to get the “green light” to create this. Someone mentioned that Aby doesn’t sing, while she often sings along while performing, the only video I can think of where she’s definitely singing is Rise Up. She said in an interview that she doesn’t think she’s a good singer, Melody said she’s not bad, it’s just not her strong suit.

The part where you see Sam throw his hand up while singing with the candle he actually is praising God in the song. The three eldest are born again Christians. Papa Liliac used to be something like a preacher or elder in church, and because the kids played rock music and they didn't want to change. The church expelled him from church. Well they have all since found another church to call home. At every concert Melody thanks Jesus and other religious saying to the people and says a prayer. This is what their concert goers say. But their music is clean music and lots of it is Christian as well. "Dear Father for example". Just some back ground information and with Abby the oldest sister being married now and living so far away it is hard for her to be with the band all the time. Her baby will be due end of Feb. to early March.

This is still my favorite of the Christmas songs. It has a great composition . I think the scenes that you are referring to ,I always assumed was the kids getting up early on Christmas morning to open gifts or stockings . Since they are still in pajamas. melody was born to be in front of a camera, she owns it while singing. BTW I love the sign about your coffee . LOL

Melody does have a sassy look when she sings. I think the only reason there were only 4 in the backing vocals is because Abi doesn't sing. Carousel will be a good one to do!

Abi can indeed sing, but, when this was filmed, Abi was at her own home, about 1000 miles to the Northwest of where the rest of the family was, outside of Atlanta, GA. Abi does sing, as in the Chorus of "Rise UP!" video.....
