honestly I feel like Laur has just isolated her from when she was a teenager and tried to make herself the only person Lillie communicates with and over a number of years has managed to convince her she IS actually famous by limiting contact with the outside world and has similarly convinced her that people "are out to get her" all the while she (Laur) is deeply in debt (bankruptcy hearings are a matter of public record in NY) so now people have picked up on her batshit insanity she's throwing out lawsuits left right and centre to try and hope she gets one to stick just enough to pay off the people she owes money to whilst at the same time filing these false DMCA claims all over the place to try and maintain her control over Lillie, eventually Laur is either going to pass away or in some other way be removed (like go to jail) from Lillie's life and it's at that point when she can no longer control the narrative or Lillie's exposure to the outside world some EXTREMLY dark shit is going to come out about all this, it's like Munchausen's-by proxy on steroids, I don't justify or condone LJ's behavior but I think it's the mother who is at the heart of all this.

I've always found pathological liars quite fascinating. I've worked with one for a couple of weeks a few years back, and listening to him was... bizarre, to say the least. Back then, I didn't understand how he thought for one second that I believed what he was saying, it was so outlandish and yet he could go on for hours (gone to South America, sold drugs, met the Cartel, ad nauseam...). That said, I don't think I could have handled his lies that much longer. He was as dumb as a rock and that's probably why he didn't realize how out of touch he sounded.
