For people that don't like him,What the hell do they want him to do? We have the highest recititvism rate in the world, and people get pissed when someone straightens their life. Getting clean,and staying clean is not easy. Credit to him for straightening his life

Omg finally someone with some sense! Reason cause cops get every advantage cause they are cops and get an automatic 100 yard lead in every race! Their are so many crooked cops out there too that get away with this shit everyday and then saluted and ass kissed on the daily! Watch that Bradley Cooper movie the place beyond the pines !

I think you’re kinda right, how the hell was lillo or anyone supposed to tell an off duty cop is an actual cop and not a fuckin fry cook? He didn’t disclose himself from the stories I’ve read/heard.
@scottmartin7042
@scottmartin7042 5 жыл бұрын
I said the same thing man. Look at the evidence that was presented in court Witnesses testified that the cop just yelled don't move at Lilo then when Lilo ran he shot him three times. I thought cops were supposed to identify themselves as police and I also thought they were never supposed to shoot a suspect that is running away from them

Other thing he should have probably mentioned is how there is a solid routine in jail/prison. That helps believe it or not. That constant daily routine, something you can count on. It actually helps you discipline your mind. The other part of it is, you already know you can't do shit in there, so why worry? You've got time to eat up. One thing I can say about jail time is ... You can appreciate that discipline that it gives you. Get money or just sit around thinking, watch tv or all of the above.

I always get the feeling that his remorse comes from his savvy more than his actual deepest thoughts. He feels bad because that's how he thinks he should feel. Then again, he didn't kill the guy. And plus, he got shot during all this. Best of luck to him. Kind of a sleazy dude, but not a monster.

He's full of shit. His partner had a makeshift shooting gallery in his basement, a place this guy had been to many times. They also went to another pals house prior to the robbery attempt where his partner had his gun out. It all came out in his partners trial, that and much more. Yet he wants us to believe he had no idea his buddy had a gun ! He has many discrepancies in a story that he's had about 8-9 years to nail down for interviewers. You run with someone like that and are a junkie out to break into a house, bad things happen. Someone said the cop opened fire on an unarmed man ! The cop was shot at first , returned fire and was killed with a gun !! Unarmed ? Boo Hoo for poor Lillo. Nice he's sober but he likes to gloss over his responsibility in the whole mess. There was also evidence presented that the off duty cop ID'd himself , had his badge around his neck as required and also called 911 before leaving his house to report a robbery, and was protecting his neighborhood, but you won't hear this guy address that in the many interviews he's done.

I'm not quite sure how I feel either way about weather this guy should be in prison for life or not since a cop was killed during his crime, but I do know what the cops in NYC think, they'd kill this guy if they could. There were tons of cops at the court house when this guy was going through his trial trying to pursued everyone to give him life...

I re-read my message and didn't mean it that way, it just sounded like it. Insert the word "someone" in there instead of "a cop" and that's what I meant. I said "a cop was killed" the same way I'd have said "a guy got killed". So yeah I agree with you 100%, cop, mcdonald's, homeless person anyone. all the same and none are higher or lower than the other...

Yeah I'm surprised they didn't charge him with the murder too because most everyone else, even if you didn't know your partner in crime had a gun or not, you were there taking part in the same crime and if someone gets killed even though you weren't the shooter, everyone knows the laws have changed to where you're just as guilty...

When the cop told him not to move he did by walking away. Next the cop sho t to stop him. Then this other druggie had a gun and shot the cop killing him. Adoption is no excuse to go done the wrong path. You after a certain way of life for yourself. He was given a huge opportunity and squandered it by doing drugs and drinking. How many times do kids and young adults need to see people in entertainment die from going down this destructive path? Keep yourself grounded and live a sensible life. Do your job, go home have dinner, volunteer in your community. Make good friends and keep a spiritual faith around your life. Give back someway. I think a second chance is good, and forgiveness is the best way to deal with a life lost. I know because I lost a son.
