I've done this drive from the Whistler/Pemberton end but going to do it in reverse in the spring and stay at that campsite. Glad you showed more of the actual sites. I saw other videos and they didn't show the nice sites. (Only that open space for big rigs)

One of my favourite drives! 👍

Ours too, though likely more fun on a motorcycle than in a camper van 🚐. Thanks for the comment!

Hi from the UK, I have now watched all your posts and am amazed at the stunning scenery and watching your adventures with envy.Your RV looks just the job for your various trips, very well built and good functionality. The RV’s we have here in the UK and Europe are a little different in many ways, Hymer, Knaus and the Hobby Vantaner from Germany are very good. In the UK were have some companies that offer “bespoke” builds and the customer can have what they want, Murvi is popular and will build you a vehicle to suit your own requirements.I look forward to seeing further posts from you and the superb scenery on offer in BC. Before I go, can you advise me the name of the piano music that is played on some of your videos, is it Bach or Liszt?. Keep luck with your continued travels, I am looking forward to seeing more.😁

Nice video trees you wondering about are Ponderosa Pine the resin is called Fatwood and Fatwood is very flammable paper iglights at 800 degreEs and fatwood at 200 degeesemame a great fire starter for camping ⛺️ if allowed. Bushcraft smells like pinsol all the best. Ed 🇨🇦⛺️🔥🍺

nice video. love the scenery. what’s the speed limit in that highway? is it a busy highway?
@hikenrv5 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed! We love this drive (albeit perhaps more fun on a motorcycle than a van!), but it is twisty especially just after Pemberton and thus quite slow at times. We can’t recall the exact speed limits but they range from quite slow to moderate at best. Not the route if in a hurry!

I thought Ponderosa Pine too. The Camels Red sounds good, and at 8:06 I see trout water:) Nice vid, beautiful area.

Fly Fish thanks for your comment. And you will likely see more great fly fishing spots in this week’s video as well.

Adding to my bucket list. I've always wanted to do that drive and now I am convinced. Thanks for the great videos in your Zion. Is the Winery a Harvest Host?

Maureen Tweedly , yes a wonderful drive and nice if you add in the Sea to Sky too! We aren’t sure if Fort Berens is part of Harvest Hosts or not. Your comment however is a reminder for us to join-thank you.

Absolutely some of the best scenery in all the world. Keep these videos coming. When descending the larger hills, is the engine braking in 1st gear sufficient to control the speed of the van or do you still have to use the brakes ?
@hikenrv6 жыл бұрын
Cure Meister thank you for your encouragement and glad you enjoy the videos. Our pleasure to share! We do tend to rely more on brakes than gearing down unless very steep. I suspect we will generally need to use, but we will look to try simply gearing down a few times.
