Let me check my understanding. MGK wrote Rap Devil as a DISS TRACK to Eminem, right? Well the definition of a diss track is " A diss track, diss record or diss song (diss - abbr. from disrespect) is a song whose primary purpose is to verbally attack someone else, usually another artist." according to google. So if MGK is complimenting Eminem, that makes it not a diss track. Yes, Eminem is the goat but if you are making a DISS TRACK the whole idea is to be savage not sweet. That is what makes me not take MGK serious. If he didn't have the nerve to be nasty he shouldn't have responded. Just a different angle though and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. (: Thanks for watching y'all

Mgk is petty also this mainly started when mgk called his daughter hot when she was 16 and he was 22 then he got more petty when sway denied him access to shade 45 that's when mgk took to tech9 and fired shots at rap god just nothing but pettiness from him
@gamexsimmonds35813 жыл бұрын
I think it was a smart move MGK was probably thinking if ai just diss him people will write me off and say "Yeah all that true but Eminem is better than you and is one of the greatest ever" which is true so MGK was like I get that you are one of the greatest but here is everything wring with you. It's like of you were to write a character assassination on Bill gates Before you talk about the bad stuff you would probably have to get out of the way that yes he is a genius, yes he help build the modern word of computing, and yes he has done more for charitable causes than most Large companies or other billionaires. But here is why I don't like him____ But I understand what your saying. But MGK gree up as fan of Em so its also understandable. Eminem did the same thing in his disses towards Everlast back in the day Saying thinks like "shit man you qere me in '92" Meaning that Eminem in that moment is comparable to what Everlast was back in the day. Eminem also went on to day that he yse to lime his music and is his second diss toward Everlast he said "So you put out an album and it rules for part of the year and then Kid Rock and Liml Bozkit come from out of nowhere its the start of an era rap rocks harder this year" in that line Em is stating that yes you released a hot album but your not on top anymore and you've been replaced. Which is the same thing MGK did in Rap devil so 🤔 If En can do it so can MGk and people still say that em one that battle with Everlast and never bring up the fact that he gave sutble compliments. That is also a beef that folks overlook because Everlast diss was kinda good against Eminem

Like in the same way boxers may say complimentary things about their opponent, but still say they are going to destroy them. The mistake MGK made was calling Eminem the goat, basically admitting that he thinks Eminem is better than him. You can acknowledge that you opponent is talented, but you should never say or doing anything that is even hinting at your opponent being better than you. If you are a true competitor, you always have to consider yourself the best. Considering yourself the greatest is the greatest motivator for rappers, since they'll keep grinding and putting out their stuff, untill they get the recognition as the best, that they feel like they deserve. But MGK basically admitted in his diss, that he doesn't consider himself to be the greatest rapper.

Great reaction. Jadakiss was part of the LOX. Eminem beat Squirt Gun Kelly with the tittle alone. Killshot is also a film in which the main character Carmen Colson (Colson is SGK's middle name and name he most often goes by) is targeted by a experienced hitman. Yes and funny enough died after heart attack in prison at age of 59..During his time at Alcatraz, he got the nickname "Pop Gun Kelly." According to fellow inmate Dale Stamphill, the nickname originated because, "He told big fish stories. The cons called him ‘Pop Gun Kelly’ after cork guns that were popular with kids...the guys didn’t take him seriously...." This may have stemmed from the fact that, in addition to his exaggerated tall tales, Kelly was a model prisoner and did not act like the brutal gangster his wife, the media, and FBI had made him out to be.. bit of history for ya..

After hearing that this beef went down (I had heard of Killshot before, just didn't know it was a diss track), I watched Rap Devil first, and then Killshot, was obviously torn between the guy I thought MGK was, and who I knew Eminem was. But then I started to listen to some of MGK's old stuff, and learn about who he used to be, and I have to say, damn. Like the person MGK is NOW, comparred to before this diss track, just goes to show how incredibly hard this humbled MGK. Still like them both, and MGK has earned a bit of respect from me for changing his ways (As far as I'm aware)

Eminem says nothing. "Oh shit he's amazing" u can literally see ur face change exactly when I switch reactions. Ur opinion is invalid
@noahgray5433 жыл бұрын
...how can someone's opinion be invalid on something subjective? I mean, you might think they are wrong, but I cant see how the opinion would be invalid. Besides, Eminem says quite a lot. One of the biggest themes of Killshot is that MGK is trying to diss him but he also wants to be him. Another one is that MGK will always be compared to Eminem and will never be able to escape from that.

That's not the point. Of course we know that Em is the best (or at least one of the best). But it's a DISS track. You don't compliment someone in a diss track. That defeats the whole purpose.

MGK is not really making any rap music anymore. BUT like almost a year after this beef he made an album called “Hotel Diablo” and it was actually a really good album. The song “Glass house” is probably my favorite song he’s ever made, and it’s on that album. But yeah he has fully transitioned to rock music, and if I’m not mistaken he won Rock artist of the year, or Album of the year or some shit. So although Eminem made him so nervous that he had to leave the rap game I will say major props to MGK for finding so much success in a whole new genre of music. I know he deals with depression, and addiction, and I’ve dealt with that shit too so I really hope the best for him. And I might be one of the biggest Eminem fans you’d ever meet. I’m a full blown Stan, but gotta give credit where it’s due.

MGK was working in a tattoo parlor iirc and people would come in and he would rap for them. It got to the point people would come in and ask him to rap because they'd heard about him. if you know any of MGK's earlier rap stuff he was quite the chopper. It got to the point where people were regularly comparing his cadence to that of a machine gun. Thats how he got his name.

1. EMINEM has dissed everyone in music at least once so I don’t see how MGK won there. 2. EMINEM only responded to MGK because it’s a respect thing. You let one person go off dissing you without retaliation and people think it’s okay so MGK didn’t win there. 3. His rhymes were overly simplistic and his punchlines were whack doing more of praising EMINEM and sucking his own dick than he did dissing him. EMINEM had more complex rhymes and better punchlines, he actually came with facts and corrected MGK’s disses so MGK didn’t win there. 5. MGK didn’t even know what the beef was about in the first place claiming it was all about a picture of which EMINEM actually said in his first diss that that wasn’t the reason why and that he didn’t even know about that until years later after it happened. MGK claims the whole Kamikaze album was about him, but out of the full album he was only a 20 second mention out of the literal hundreds of people he dissed on that album. EMINEM didn’t even really know who the hell MGK even was to have blocked him from coming on Shade45 which is the whole thing he is pissed about that started this whole beef so how did MGK win there? Any way you look at it MGK lost. To be fair I’ll admit that at least he held his own against EMINEM way better than Nick Cannon did.

Mgk didn't win but he had balls that's for sure
@Kno_Buddy3 жыл бұрын
Sure, I commend the fact that he at least had the balls to try, but it was cowardly and disrespectful the way that he went about starting the beef. I mean the dude not only talked about his daughter, which is a big no no, but he also jumped on Tech N9ne’s track and subliminally dissed him and went live during an interview talking shit when he didn’t even have all of the facts to speak on it instead of trying to contact his people and see what was going on first like a logical grown man would do. MGK through the whole thing was acting like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum because the big kids wouldn’t let him play with them.
