As a older Mom I am so proud of you Lilly, you amaze me. I am an American too and Thanksgiving has always been more memorable than any Holiday. When I was little my Family would all gather together and my Dad and Uncle use to take us every Thanksgiving to a local College football game and when we got back dinner was ready, then at 6pm we went Downtown to see the newly decorations in the streets and they would take the paper of all the big department store windows so kids could see what the newest toys would be that year! Santa walked around greeting boys and girls with a candy cane and Christmas Carols music played out doors. I have had that memory for over 65 years! Make memories Lilly with your Family they will remember it for a lifetime😉 God Bless you sweetie

I’m 78 years young and have never dried a Turkey. I was born and raised in America and never heard of some of these things. I have decided that I was from the south part of America and Lily was raised in the north of America I learned a lot from this video. If you have a lot of cranberries they freeze well. Also use some to make a delicious cranberry nut bread good for Christmas too. Whole cranberries can be threaded on strings to hang on your tree. Make popcorn and thread that on string with a needle. Fun project to do for the kids. To decorate your tree with homemade. When my daughter was three we made gingerbread people and decorated with icing with hole on top so a piece of ribbon can be tied on and hang on the tree. Eat some gingerbread men and women and spray some with fivative spray so they will last for years to decorate your tree. These activities are great with little kids and make lasting memories. We also buy at least one special ornament each year. But the ones made by your children are the most precious. When they are grown you will have a piece of their childhood to look back on.

Mashed potatoes....I like that a lot but ... hummmm ,,,, how about ... a Potato Salad Instead...and some Pico de Gallo.... with a Guacamole...and some jalapeños fill up with cheese inside... sounds crazy.... try them out... This video was so special and can certainly relate to trying to do Thanksgiving in a foreign country. When I cant find cranberries I use frozen strawberries and use my grandmothers cranberry salad recipe and since it has gelatin it works just as good with the turkey. Wat is one heck of a carver! You always need a good carver. ❤❤❤

Lilly....when I make my home made cranberry sauces. I buy 10 bags and a case of Mason jars with lides. Once the sauce is done I pour it in Mason jars. And I put it in a water bath ( make sure the water covers the lids) let it come to a boil. Then turn it off. Then on thanks giving I open several jars. The rest I can put on the shelf to eat at Christmas. I love cranberry sauce and eat it year around. The turkey looks juicey and good. So does everything else.
