Hi Lilly, thankyou so much for supporting Nam in any possible way you can, this video make me cry and really sad for Nam family and people in Burma. I left Burma before 1988, it was really bad and our country has been under military government for more than 60+ years and been isolated for so long. After 2005 under Daw Aung San Su Kyi slowly getting better and 2021 again military/ Army took over and killing innocent people and no one ( international) is helping Burma. The situation right now is worst then 1988, thank you very much for all the people who pray for Nam's family, people who are suffering in Burma and country to be free and peaceful. @@gary2369 It’s common for the Burmese and also Thais to go abroad to find work and send it back home to their parents. A lot of them have children that are being brought up by their parents. I knew a couple of bar girls in Patong that had children back in their villages in Thailand that did this, and they said that it was a common practice.

She provides the money for the whole family,meh is a simple fisherman who she met when he was working in a bar. Of course kids needs parents, but that is a distant dream for many women in Asian countries. Why do you think so many of these girls try to bag a western man. If you look at the deeper geopolitical environment… China wants to run a pipeline from China through Mynamar and wants access its coastline which is pretty extens8ve (both militarily because it faces India and commercially for its new Silk Road endeavors) … read through that angle and you'll see possibly why this is happening

We had fair election at 2020 and Aung San Suu Kyi's party win the election. But Military didn't accept the result and arrested all people from Aung San Suu Kyi's party(include Daw Aung San Suu Kyi). So People of Myanmar protested and showed we didn't accept Military Coup. But Military shooted and killed the protest civillian. Now Young people of myanmar formed PDF(People Defence Force) and fight against the military.If Military can't handle the situation at ground,they bomed from air and not care it is innocence civillian or PDF. I'm from Myanmar.

In my country, it is required to reciprocate greetings and salutations especially in schools. But in the homes, it is not very common. Good Morning Lilly, I did not sleep at all last night. I wonder how I am going to pull through today. It is going to be 33 degrees. Lilly I hope Nam's parents understand that Nam is trying to help them to have a better life in Koh Samui. Sometimes it is very hard for parents to change their routine in their life. I had the same problem with my parents, when I went and saw them in 1976. To tell them I was going to get married [big mistake]. How I wish I could get my life back. All I can do is pray for Nam and her family, and things to change for her family there. I will do what I can for you and Nam, when I come next year. I have to be very careful, what I also do, because I got into trouble with the tax dept. a few years ago. I will tell you when I am there. When you get my letter, please reply it through my email. There are a lot of things I wish to say, but sometimes the comments I get are not very nice. I do ignore them. To me it is like water on a duck's back. You have a nice day with your family. We have a colleague from Mymmar shared his family escaped from village to forest & they have formed an army team to fight against militia. This civil war has been on for awhile & coming out now is almost impossible. Of cos knowing the right people may help but this would surely be costly due to bribery & how many do you have to cover the whole hierarchy of 'personnels'.. Shall keep Nam in prayer 🙏 jus like wad Bible says "Wars & rumours of wars.. Nations against nations (civil war) & kingdoms against kingdoms.." Lily I’m scared and extremely for the safety of Nam’s family. Poor Nam must be worried sick. I prayed last night for her family’s safety and well being. Your right about the news there is no mention of the situation in Burma on the British daily news. I will continue praying that Nam’s family will be safe and get a safe passage to Thailand. I am wondering if there are any refugee camps on the boarder with Burma and Thailand. I would imagine getting documents to leave Burma at the moment is impossible due to the current situation. They may need to lie low till the situation improves. It’s a terrible situation to be in. Survival is the most paramount at the moment. As soon as it’s safe to do so they need to get out of the Country to somewhere safe. On a brighter note I continue to watch your videos on a daily basis and really do look forward to them. Your 3 children are growing up and look absolutely gorgeous. It nice that Leon is starting to talk more and express himself using language. Nam is a very attractive young lady and has such a peaceful and come disposition. She is great with the children and the children love her. She’s the best nanny I’ve seen. I’m so glad your paths crossed and you have become like sisters to each other. Nam is such a lovely person she deserves the best that life can bring her. It’s nice to see Watt looking well and enjoying family life. Christmas Day at the hotel on the beach looked wonderful and the food looked amazing. Hello Lilly, this problem that has been happening in Burma, has been going on for a very long time. I have a friend in Phuket who is from Burma. He is a tailor in Phuket. He emailed me once about 4 years ago, and asked me for my advice. If it was the right thing to do. To go to Burma and start a business. I told him you are so lucky to be living in Phuket, and you want to go to Burma to start a business. My advice to you, please don't. I have not heard from him since. The only thing I can pray for Nam, that she succeeds to get her family to Koh Samui. People from Burma are trying to flee, but when they are caught. They are either put in prison or shot. I am blessed to be in Perth. Like wise you are blessed to be in Koh Samui with your beautiful family. All you and I can do is pray for the people that are struggling there, and hope something good will happen. I cannot see some of the things that are happening in this world. It breaks my heart. I will talk to you all about my feelings when I see you in 2024. Now going back to yesterdays video, titled, "I am loosing my religion on an Island in Thailand" When I saw you kissing Wat or vice versa. It reminded me of the movie, "From here to Eternity." Lily, explain to Nam that she has the right to insist her family leaves Myanmar 🇲🇲. It is her right to expect safety for her son and her parents. As adults, we sometimes have to step in and pull rank on our aged parents for their own good. It is normal for people to be afraid of making changes but fear doesn't have to control us. I'm an elementary teacher in the US and one of my students is Karen (Burmese). He tells me his families stories that are just like what Nams family is experiencing. His father, mother and grandfather escaped to a refugee camp and then made it to the US. It is terrible that this fighting continues and the people have to run into the forest to escape the attackers. This has to stop. I love how you offered to help her family. Please let us know what more we can do to help. I will pray for her families safety.
