MK2 and Tekken2 were my first two fighter games. SNES then PS1. i'll never forget in MK2 the obvious love for scorpion/sub zero/lui kang/raiden and for me, baraka. and the fighting pits with the acid/green liquid with spikes. then in tekken 2 there were ring outs too i THINK, its been 25+ years or so. i grew up playin fightin games with my mom and sometimes my dad would get into some of the later ones. he REALLY got into Mace: The Dark Age on N64 and i loved that game too. point is, i got really good on Tekken7 on PC and the majority of my losses were against the characters you have to spend money on. i also found it interesting that the opponent who first picked dragonuv lost then picked feng (those are my 2 main characters) NOW in t7. idk if the next tekken is out. i live in a small pos town with 0 gaming of ANY KIND. if you do have console, chances are you're a pot dealer playin CoD... that's it. i got really good with the russian hitman guy dragonov (however its spelled), feng, got pretty cool with king, but waaaay back in the day i SWEAR there were ring outs in tekken 2... there is a chance i'm mixing it up with soul calibur cuz that also has ring outs. but i can picture a vivid memory of taking my ps1 to my aunts house 2hrs away to stay there and me and my mom would play tekken 2. yoshimitsu and that weird character on soul calibur idk his name but he has claws and does acrobatic like vegas moves. walking in a back bridge crawl. anyways... i never understood what 1 2 3 4 = to the xbox1 controller i used on my pc. and i used to always play better on the arcade box which surprised me when i went to my broskis house and he had a plug in one for his console. he was ranked #7 vega on the SF before the NEWEST release. he held rank 7 vega for the longest time, either in america or the world, idk how SF does its servers or rankings. i'll never forget the FEW times i beat him in SF even when he'd pick his worst character, technically none of the were his worst.. just vega was miles above all the others but he knew ALL the moves, combos, counters, frames, timings for ALL characters... we even played the older sf versions... so when i say i remember the times i beat him, that's like maybe on hand or one hand and a couple fingers IF that on ALL SF versions. i mainly played akuma. then when tekken was in the early 2000s, idk which # but it was slightly before devil jin, and the final boss was most likely heihachi but i could pick heihachi. i don't think there was a demon at the end, like Oni character that looked liked a giant dragon with wings or not; but i could pop in 25cent before they upped it to 50c and win the game with heihachi's down back plus 2 buttons that made him do a semi back motion into a forward arm strike that were start low swirl up into a block looking position in martial arts. and then there's the one similar but it would have 2 palms out forward like a kamehameha wave. those 2 moves let me beat everyone, anyone, and all difficulties. the only time i tried yoshimitsu was to try to do the sepukku where he zips across the screen and stabs himself and opponent but it would do serious damage to enemy for some reason. it feels like yoshimitsu was always in the game (i don't remember tekken 1. vague memories of arcade mk 1. then when my bro got killer instinct, it was released where you would have to buy each character - which they realized was stupid as hell and once they unlocked all characters once you bought the game more people played it and big big tournaments like SF and Tekken would go down. that was/is the only game i can consistently beat him on cuz i grew up playing KI on SNES. looooved that game.
