Not all Disney movies have merchandise. The Zenon movies have hardly any at all. And fans are not happy about it. I even came up with a Zenon themed hotel suite and restaurant idea.

I remember that ride, honestly I loved that ride but I know both animatronics for those rides have been preserved and my god do they look scary

Scary being the operative word. I was 4 when I got on that ride, and the animatronic scared the living daylights out of me. In hindsight, my expectations( which was the actual animated stitch) were high, but that doesn't excuse the horrible result of what would happen if a predator raped smurfette

Holy crap i never knew that this was edited because of 9/11. I knew a lot of older things that were changed because of it ( example older cartoons like tale spin and Sonic the hedgehog, power rangers) but i never imagined this was one.

I’m surprised that Doug didn’t talk about Pudge and Lilo, the reason Lilo gives Pudge a peanut butter sandwich, is because he controls the weather, her parents died in a car accident cause by bad weather, unless I am mistaken. this was an interesting little connection into why Lilo does this for Pudge

0:30-1:16 that was also me for years basically up until this year. i was born in 2001 so by the time 2014-2015 came around i was in my teens & that was when i started getting told that i was getting too old to be watching the stuff i like. i was told that kids my age don’t watch the disney channel & stuff like that. it was around the time that i was 15-16 that that really started getting to me & my mindset because i started watching almost nothing but horror movies. 99% of all movies i watched from 2017-2022 were all horror movies because those were movies deemed “appropriate” for people my age group to be watching. that’s not to say that i didn’t like horror because omg i did i loved the movies i watched & i still like horror movies now too. just during that time period i watched way more horror movies than any other movied to fit in with the crowd more. i didn’t wanna be seen as a kid i wanted to be seen as a mature adult even though i wasn’t one yet. people convincing me that adults shouldn’t be watching animated movies had such an affect on me that last year in 2022 i suppressed any kind of wanting or good feeling i had to getting a disney + subscription to watch not only the movies i grew up with but even the ones i didn’t really grow up with, lilo & sitch is one of the latter ones. i watched it a few times as a kid but it just wasn’t one of my favourites that i went back to a lot. but this year i watched it & i got no shame now in admitting that i love this movie & i honestly have loved all the disney movies i’ve watched this year. i’m happy that i eventually said “f**k what anyone else thinks disney movies & animated movies in general are for people of all ages no matter what” & got that subscription

I was deeply insecure about still liking cartoons ~13-40 yo. I still don't always talk too much about liking certain cartoons because I don't care for peoples' negative reactions. And talking with someone who isn't interested is pointless. I don't think you can be too old for cartoons but can grow over certain types of cartoons. Some cartoons others might write off as childish I simply think are too simple. This often the case with older cartoons. Heck, I thought the latest He-Man on Netflix was pretty decent. And I am 42! 😳 I used to like the original but can see how poorly it aged as well...
