@silverloony11704 жыл бұрын
Frollo's lust for Esmeralda is creepy as hell regardless if there's a 20-year difference or a 40-year difference. This Frollo is supposed to be a judge, and it is possible that he would become one by the age of 36 (when he was forced to adopt Quasimodo). I also don't care what anyone (including Disney) says, there's no way Disney-Esmeralda could look like that and not be at least 20 years old (this is Disney, not anime).

6:17 Funnily enough, _Matilda_ came out the same year as _Hunchback_ . 7:10 Hell - even W.S. Gilbert, of Gilbert & Sullivan fame, was a critic of the church. However, he got in a bit of trouble making fun of the church with one of his and Sullivan's earlier operas, _The Sorcerer_ , so he had to use allegories in their later operas. 35:43 To be fair, Disney had already switched to digital colouring by this point, so it's slightly more likely that they have the original files archived somewhere.

I think it's mainly due because THE CRISIS is still a thing....So, Nate has to do social distancing whenever he can...and one other major reason why Nate does NC by himself, Is probably to shield the rest of his Renegades from the backlash of NC haters that still latch on to false conspiracies, say something inane like "Irate Gamer is better"...Because a total fraud who puts in little to zero effort in his videos is so much better than someone who busts his balls every week to try and make something entertaining, I am still trying to figure out why the AVGN even entertained the idea of doing a crossover with Irate Gamer, let alone say nice things to him even after that asshat put both James's, Stuttering Craig's, and all of Screwattack's careers on full blast!...It should take WAY more than a mere apology after that...I know, some of you could say "Well what else should he do to get James on his show, should he bribe him?" Well, that's what I think he did, he bribed a metric butt ton of money to James, and even worse, he acknowledged that his material was "Inspired" by the nerd, not ripped off and half assed which would be more accurate! Anyways, I really went off course there...The point being, if the NC isn't your thing, then stop watching his show, stop talking about him, stop acknowledging his existence...You're just giving this guy free advertising anyways!

I actually am not looking forward to a live action remake of this movie. I don't care about the potential, ALL the recent remakes had a lot of potential and STILL SUCKED. You can only suck so many times before one expects you to suck automatically. Maybe they'll surprise me, but I SERIOUSLY doubt it. I fully expect it to be deadpan delivery, treating no emotional like tons of emotion, characters not being developed on screen but off screen and treating us like we saw the developed off screen too and no real effort at all. It's what they've given us so far in the remakes, so I highly doubt a remake of Hunchback would be any different. The only remake of a Disney animated movie I can think of that actually had effort, where the actors clearly WERE trying and where the film makers were creative is 101 Dalmatians. You understood the dogs from their reactions, the actors (especially Cruella's) were definitely putting in a solid effort. That is a live action Disney remake I can watch without any serious negative thoughts and have a lot of fun watching. The rest? 😪

Disney's Esmeralda is a copper skinned, raven haired gypsy woman (even though in the novel, she's a 16 year old white french girl raised as a gypsy), so in live-action form, she should be played by either a hispanic actress or an actual romani woman, not a white or african actress. the only hispanic actress i see playing as Esmeralda in real life is salma hayek (she's really good-looking), which she already did once in one hunchback tv adaptation back in 1997.
