There's a window cling which is "frosted" but it actually diffracts the light so you get pretty rainbows from it. I think that would work really well given how much light you get through the window and how you'd like it to be a bright and colourful and happy room.

since that window gets a lot of sun; i would recommend getting that frosted glass film that casts a rainbow! the bathroom would always have a beautiful rainbow during the day and no one would be able to see through the window!

I def would recommend a frosted glas film on the lower half of the window. I did that in my parents bathroom where the window is double the size and has no shutters or blinds

They have the stick on window appliqués that can make them look frosted, but also like stained glass or other fun things! I have them in my basement, it’s a stone-like stained glass and it makes the light come in such a pretty hue which you could probably make something work with the yellow cabinet! Or maybe even one of the “one way” options so you still get the same view/light! Having a happy bathroom is one of the finer pleasures in life😋

For future CC creations, if the Hue/Saturation doesn't work to get the right color, another easy way is to select the color change area and apply the Black & White adjustment layer. Then select the same area in a new layer and use the Selective Color adjustment layer to pick the color you want, and use a blending mode from the drop down to make it look realistic on the item.

I used to work at a home depot and in the paint section they have a spray paint version of frosted glass, it’s super easy to use and can be easily removed with a scraper. (also fully waterproof) this might be a good option for the window in the shower

I always am amazed at people who can buy a whole house and afford to renovate it 🤣 we bought our house last May and all we have done is paint the main living areas, upstairs bathroom, new toilets, and carpet in our downstairs den area. And this has all been done throughout the year.

There was a big window in my last place that looked right into the shower. I bought privacy film that made it look like beaded glass. It looked really nice and you couldn't tell it was just film.

I love my window films! They just stick on the window using static cling so you can easily change your mind (I've had mine up for about a year now with no signs of peeling). I got one with designs on them, and parts are prismatic so they create rainbows when the sun hits them just right.

Honestly one of those films could work great for the window. I have one in my bedroom. It has a little bit of an prismatic effect, beyond just a frosted glass effect, and it's so fun to see that rainbow refracted light on the window.

Window cling can make it to where there is privacy but still light!! I recommend it for the shower! There are tons of designs & some project rainbows on the wall too!

I see a lot of comments on rainbow cling film or frosted look which I completely agree with, but be super careful to buy the "bathroom" grade stuff because you can def still see straight through some frosted film, especially with a light behind it in the dark.

For my massage Tx room, I used the stained glass film for the lower window sashs. Clients LOVE it; I've gotten so many compliments, and it's wicked easy to apply and not permanent. There are also tons of patterns to choose from. And if that window gets good light, it will throw a lot of color into your bathroom. Highly recommend.

If you don't like the shutters you can get static clings for the windows that are nice. They also make ones that reflect the light into rainbows! Also a botanical illustration would look nice if you want original flower art in there

Bathrooms are actually a great place to put plants that need to be in a warm, humid environment (they are arguably the steamiest, most often humid room in the house), just as an idea for decorating bathrooms!

I have a window in my shower and tbh it’s not ideal I kinda hate it BUT I’d def do frosted glass>shutters. The windowsill kinda works as an extra shelf for shampoo n whatever. We have a funky purple stained glass film over ours that was left from the previous owners but were probably gonna replace soon. Also make sure when u put it in u turn the light on at night and stand in the shower and get dan to go outside and see how see through it is!!!

I was wondering the same. There's so much cc that would fit exactly what she's thinking of, and she could even try different styles out. Especially since she likes to promote her friend's cc packs and always says she'd like to use them more. I would think it'd be fun to play around with the cc you're never going to use otherwise, and like you mentioned, no one is going to download it so accessibility doesn't matter in this case (plus not everything has to be for everyone). As someone who uses a ton of build cc, I guess its frustrating to me that she has so many options to properly design her bathroom the way she wants in the sims, but doesn't? And since cc follows the current trends, pretty much everything she says she's thinking of exists in cc form (I have them in my game lol). Obviously it's up to her and her gameplay, but I guess I wish she'd be able to do her imagination and skill justice by using better/more options than what EA has currently given us also sorry this is such a long reply! :/ didn't mean to ramble so much lol

I mean from the beginning of the video she said she wants a yellow counter in the bathroom, but because it wasn’t available she put a kinda shitty pink one instead. How is that better than just finding a cute yellow CC counter. it’s just confusing to me because the whole point of this is visualize her ideas and see how it would look IRL so she can make a decision, but she can’t do that because most of the stuff doesn’t exist in the sims! Plus she always showcases super cool CC from friends so it’d be nice to see her use them, I know she’d have a lot of fun with it :)

For the bathroom window you could get that mosaic rainbow reflecting window covers, my neighbors have them over their bathroom windows ! It also just reflects cool

Not sure if it is regular glass or if this would be your style but there are stickers pretty much that you could put on the window thatll make and iridescent effect when the light hits it. So cute and you get your privacy, not sure if I explained that well enough I don’t know what they’re called. 😬🤣

I’m sure hundreds of people have already said it but you can use a window film to cover that window, it could just be frosted or it could cast rainbow light into the room, it will block people from seeing in but keep the room sunny and pretty (especially with rainbow film)

I think a frosted window would be the best option because it still allows light into the bathroom but you don’t have to worry about any privacy problems and you wouldn’t need shutters. That’s how the bathroom in my house is and I love having the frosted window!

For the window, you could also get a mirror tint film to put on, where the outside is mirrored and not see thru, but you could still see out if you wanted to.

Hey Kayla, when making recolors, choose the black or white swatch. Otherwise you have to desaturate before adding color back. However if you are working with something that doesn't have a plain white or black, pick the lightest plain swatch, and desaturate that. Then you can make your recolor and the colors won't be muddy!

You can screw the toilet paper holder into the cabinet, it’s more ergonomic that way, it allows for easier access. When I remodeled I designed my own bathroom cabinets so on the front i had drawers but on the side where the toilet would be there was a sunken in area below the sink to hide away the toilet paper holder and a box with tampons, below that a tiny sliding door cabinet to hide away cleaning supplies and for toilet paper storage

We have a huge window in the shower like you, and we put in a pvc roller blind. It's perfect, we can roll it down when using the shower and it acts like a shower curtain, but then roll it up to let light in during the day.

I bought a stained glass looking vinyl for my bathroom window because my landlord hand installed blinds and inside my shower and it was gross. Super not practical. I LOVE the peel and stick, it makes rainbows all over the bathroom. You'll love it ❤️

Frosted glass is best for that sort of window placement. Shutters would maybe get mouldy with the condensation

You can either frost the window or use a mosaic decorative film to put on the window so it will make a rainbow during the day!

I actually had a giant window in the shower at my old house - originally it was just a tub and at some point it was turned into a tub/shower but they left the window. The old owners just mounted a shower curtain over the window - but that really only solved the problem during the day - at night your backlit shadow was still very visible. We ended up converting it from a full size window to a tiny thin rectangle and the height of the window shielded us from view, even from the neighbors upstairs window because of the angle.

You can buy some really easy to install window clings that make the windows unable to be seen into but allow light in. Mine are neat because they also reflect a prismatic pattern when the light comes in. Not very expensive either > that maybe an option

For the window, put a vinyl light reflecting thingy on it! That’s what we did for our window in the shower. Sends rainbows into the bathroom and allows light + privacy!
