Lily Allen has a point! If you know how Miley is, then why take your children. I'm surprised that parents still take their kids knowing how Miley is. If you are mature about sexuality, then you wouldn't mind it. I have grown up with Miley since I was 10 & I have never done anything that she does. It's the parents job to teach their children what's right & wrong.

Honestly it is NOT Miley's job to make sure kids do not do what she's does, its the parents job to make sure they are parenting right. They should know that miley is indeed a bad influence for little kids and shouldn't even let their kids watch her, Miley clearly isn't aiming for a younger audience, she's aiming for an older audience that knows right from wrong, and if you can't handle her being crazy, then don't watch her. its that simple, no one is forcing you to watch her. she is doing what she wants to do, and right now she wants to be crazy, and enjoy being young. and like they said, she's a performer, she's not a teacher, she's not a parent, she's a performer she shouldn't need to dress like a nun just to make the parents happy. thats all i have to say.

I don't really think it was fair on the panel to just talk endlessly about Miley rather than discussing Lily's new album or single. Shout out to Lily though for answering these questions with such wit and classiness.
@Kirandera10 жыл бұрын
If you wanna call her trashy, fine. But don't start in with the bullshit about being a role model for her young fans. 1. She's allowed to grow up. I don't remember anybody coming for Justin Timberlake during his first solo era. 2. It isn't now, and it never was, her responsibility to help raise children that she didn't give birth to or adopt.

I cannot wait to see Lily's show later this year! I saw her performing 4 years ago... And she was clearly drunk, it felt a bit disrespectful because I freaking paid money to see her, and I was not worth it. I still loved her music at home though.. but I was sad she could not just do her job. Now she seems so mature, and focused! And the music is still great so.. yeah, I cannot wait.

Miley Cyrus can bloody well sing, the woman has a great set of pipes. Check out her covers of Bob Dylan & Dolly Parton songs, she's a World Class vocalist. Lily Allen is also a terrific vocalist. Her version of The Clash's "Straight To Hell" is superb. There was a time when David Bowie's singing was overshadowed by his "outrageousness", but here in 2021, his extraordinary voice is what remains. Miley and Lily have a great future of creativity ahead. Something tells me they (their talent) will continue to evolve, and age very well.

Did you read my comment? I am saying she does the same thing but Madonna was believable at that time and everybody was amazed how weird and crazy she was. To me personally Miley did this to get attention I dont think she is really like this but acting like this for her career. I dont think Miley has total control of her performances
@connorcaughlin42759 жыл бұрын
AAD She's a smart girl, that Miley. She does this for media attention - if it's controversial, it's successful.

Miley Cyrus is not Hannah Montana anymore. Parents are still stuck in an eyre where Miley Cyrus "was" a disney star who played a role of a teenager who kept her identity of hannah Montana to her family and close friends. Miley Cyrus is an adult now and is showing people who she actually is. Hannah Montana was a character she played not who she actually is. She has not changed, she is simply expressing herself as who she is and has been inside for the past few years. But as she had to be innocent whilst she was a role model to children when she was on Hannah Montana she couldn't exactly go out take drugs, drink and change her appearance dramatically.

I think the reason why Miley acts the way she does at concerts is to be ironic and to cause conversation in the media. For gods sake, its the 21st century, if you're worried about your kids seeing inappropriate things, then take them outside instead of leaving technology to do all the childcare.

Where did you get your swetah Lily? :) Loves it!
@StephWain10 жыл бұрын
You don't really get a choice of being a role model, you don't sign a dotted line to be a role model, you just are, especially when your that dominant in the media. I respect Lilly saying mothers should put their child aside and speak to them but in the real world a kid will do what they want and not every kid listens. I didn't always listen to my parents especially when other factors are involved such as peer pressure. There is always going to be a certain responsibility with celebrities whether they like it or not and they have to understand that parents have a lot to tackle in the modern world of technology, tv, sexual popular music and social media as kids rebel and want to fit in with their peers.

Every single person in the world seems to have a different opinion on Feminism and what it is and what it means. For me personally, it is having control and choice over yourself and what you do. We used to be in a time where men somewhat predominantly 'ruled', we were in a patriarchal society where women had very little rights or say in anything. Some men used to sexualise women and treat them as objects. To me, feminism is where a woman takes back those rights to her body, the fact the Miley decides to be sexual is not something that goes against feminism - it's the opposite, she has taken control of her body and her self-image, and she does what she wants with it, and she doesn't do it for men. That to me is in-line with the feminism I believe. Another example, is that women used to have little choice in whether they work or stay home and look after children. For me, Feminism is the ability to choose fairly, so a woman deciding to quit her job and look after her children, is her choice and should be respected, same as if she wanted to carry on working and make her career important to her. Therefore I don't like it when people say to be a feminist you have to work all the time and be strong and make your career your priority always - no, it's about choice and equality, no matter what choice you make, feminism to me is the ability to make your own decisions, take control of yourself, and be seen as equal with equal choice and equal opportunities.

So being a sex object is feminism? Kinda counterproductive isn't it?? It's a fine line between expressing ur sexuality and showing off ur goods to sell something.

8:50 One might suggest that, if you're worried about sexual stuff in the aethyr, you are better off giving your children an informative and liberating sex education, rather than trying to become proscriptive about it. Soon enough, one might find people have grown up about it all, and no longer explore what were once taboo; rather, they explore what love means and to whom.

Hey, don't forget the real artist behind this comeback Take 2...Roadidendren. It appears there was no hint of Sheezus until after Lily had heard Poptarts by Roadidendren instead the 5 bonus tracks on the deluxe edition are more indicative of what Lily was working on since 2012 and is probably why her 4th album is nearly done. It's sad really...Lily panicked and felt what Roadidendren was saying would get her more hits and rushed HOH. ..critiques have been very disappointed by this & fans are left trying to decipher whether she's dissing popular culture or not. With Roadidendren it's all very clear...and funny and she goes a lot deeper so let's hear it for the real Sheezus...I don't think she'll like that term as she's been around long before all this started but hey...someone's gotta say it...don't be surprised if you see this everywhere Roadidendren deserves the recognition. Search Roadidendren Planet Botch article to understand the strife & search Roadidendren Talk About if you really want something to talk about. Peace, love and all that.

If parents didn't let kids listen to their music artists overnight would change their lyrics, music videos, etc. and/or make clean versions of everything. It's all about money. And it's only b/c they get away with doing what they do and still make a lot of money that it goes on. Sales from teens is huge. Miley is like one of the worst examples too. Even for college kids and up she's pretty gross. These people in the video are taking their 8-9 yr. olds to Miley concerts... there you go.
@fdp290410 жыл бұрын
Geeez im disappointed with lily here.....did Miley invite her backstage n bribe her with drugs and booze....just wtf. ? Miley Cyrus should of put an age restriction on her concert....IMO she probably didn't because without the child fans that shes so desperate to ditch she'd never fill a stadium. Im sure some parents would of asked if it was suitable for kids ...since no age limit was set, they'd of been told yes. I don't like the way Miley has crapped on her fans its arrogant and ungrateful. What sort of person would want to do a sexually explicit show knowing a large part of the audience where kids???? .....She makes me want to vomit
