Lily Mountain Summit Hike in Estes Park, Colorado

I agree 100%. We hiked to Emerald and Two Rivers lake earlier in the week and were underdressed and got cold! We overdressed for this hike, and it got hot quick in that sun. There was no wind all week, so I am not complaining!

Thank you for the comments :-) it was the first time I hiked with 5 cameras. GoPro Hero 10, GoPro Max, Sony Alpha 7iii, DJI Drone, and iPhone 14 Pro. Plus, I used all of them!

Love that area! I checked the All Trails app an it rated this hike as hard. I assume because of the rock scrambling. What is your opinion? We have visited Estes Park 4 times an we always look for new trails as we aren't very fit this looks doable.

I think they call it hard because of the boulder scramble the last 100 feet of elevation gain. It’s really not bad at all. Just watch your footing, like any boulder scramble. Lily allows dogs on the hike who have no problem reaching the summit. There was one up there on this video. Lily packs an 1,117 foot elevation gain in under 2 miles. Definitely gets the blood pumping. Our kids got up there a few years ago when they were 8 and 10. Lily reminds us of the Gem Lake hike in the Lumpys. Short hike but has some elevation to concur to reach those incredible mountain view’s. Another option is to hike the halfway point on Lily mountain. That’s where I flew my drone at 04:04 in the video. I think it’s 1.2 miles one way from the parking lot. Best part about those two hikes. no timed entry needed for Lily and Gem! Have fun out there 😁
