not always. But they’re pretty good on hikes. hiking in beautiful locations with challenging hikes builds character. They learn how to overcome fears and test new boundaries while respecting the mountains. Everything else falls into place.

If you do definitively stop and say hi. We summited 8 peaks and hiked 100 miles in RMNP so far this August. Lots of new videos to come.

No you don’t need a timed entry pass since the parking lot is not in the park. There is a parking lot at the end of tunnel road right at the East Portal. This is a great hike in the summer when trying to avoid people and park passes. Not many people on this trail. Sometimes we hike all the way up to Bear Lake then take the shuttle back down to Sprague and hike back out East Portal. This is my go to hike in the summer. Happy trails.

That was my GoPro MAX 360 on a 3 foot pole. That camera is so much fun to shoot with and easy to hike with. Highly recommended.

Aww bummer. We had a few failed attempts getting up there. Weather, snow, etc. You just never know what the mountain is going do sometimes. Better luck next time 🙌

We recorded this video on April 30th 2022. We love this little hike because it’s low traffic and you don’t need a timed entry pass. You can hike right into the park pretty much anytime. I’d recommend this hike April through November for best conditions.

They’ve been hiking pretty much since they could walk. Every year the hikes get harder and longer. So proud of them ☺️

It really is! So grateful we got to see her. It’s the only time we’ve ever seen her.

I hear ya. Summer feels like forever away right now. We did get up to Black Lake in the winter once. It was difficult and super windy.

This is a great sunrise hike. The ridge faces the south with perfect sunrise views to the east which lights up the continental divide to the west. Great view of Longs Peak,, Thatchtop, McHenry, Ottis, Hallett, and Flattop. Quick and easy 3 miler round trip.

It sure is! I love that forest in all seasons. Its a special place for sure.
