May's #soapchallengeclub taught us the column pour! I love this technique and think this is one of the prettiest soaps I've ever made. I wish the spinach & indigo would stay this green and blue but let's enjoy the color while it's here!
I made a column soap as my embed/column and finally got to test out my flower pull-through soap shaper for the first time. Super happy with the results!
Everything went well until I got to cutting. While I had measured the soap, I forgot to check where my wire was set on my splitter and ended up cutting all kinds of the wrong-sized bars. 😱 Not exactly where I had planned my cuts for the final design. Also, in my rush to get it done for challenge photos, planing it caused some of my embeds to loosen, so hopefully, they won't be falling out later.
Regardless, it smells like summer is on the way with a blend of ginger and lime essential oils, like fizzy ginger ale or a Moscow mule!
