Multicolored Feather Swirl | Soap Challenge Club

Hi and Happy New Year! This soap was one of my attempts for the Soap Challenge club last month. I felt like my other soap (my last video) was a better fit for the challenge, but I really liked this one more. Dear Holly, I've never posted a comment (that I can remember) on ANY KZbin video, so here we go. First, your voice is so gentle and soft it makes watching a calming and peaceful experience. Second, your tips are very helpful! Third, thank you for not giving repeated tutorials on soap making basics in each new video. Thank you for not sharing a long, drawn-out intro, which, in most other videos, often includes stories about the dog being sick last night, a coyote ate three of my chickens this morning, and I am so tired because I've had to can tomatoes... Lastly, thank you for sharing your recipes and showing them in SoapCalc! This is like gold to those who are new to soap making, and for those of us who have some experience but want to experiment and gain more knowledge. You are skilled but down to earth. STUNNING - I just love this one ... so delicate, I love how, when cross-cut, the thinly-poured black pin stripe forms a fine line on the bottom of each petal color. Striking under-line effect ... very nice and well thought-out!

I just love the shading you achieved with the two color technique you used for each colorful layer. It made the “leaves” pop so well that it seems you could just pick them up from the face of the soap. Stunning!

Very lovely! The finished cut looks like you used the hanger on both the L and R of the batter - the video only shows you swirling to the one side. Was this to save time in recording or is it possible to get this effect on both sides by swirling only once?
