Limb formation results from series of epithelial-mesenchymal inductions between the mesenchymal cells of the lateral plate mesoderm and the overlying ectodermal cells. Cells from the lateral plate mesoderm and the myotome migrate to the limb field and proliferate to create the limb bud. The lateral plate cells produce the cartilaginous and skeletal portions of the limb while the myotome cells produce the muscle components. The lateral plate mesodermal cells secrete fibroblast growth factors (FGF7 and FGF10) to induce the overlying ectoderm to form AER.[3] The AER reciprocatively secretes FGF8 and FGF4 which maintains the FGF10 signal and induces proliferation in the mesoderm.[citation needed] The position of FGF10 expression is regulated by Wnt8c in the hindlimb and Wnt2b in the forelimb. The forelimb and the hindlimb are specified by their position along the anterior/posterior axis and possibly by two T-box containing transcription factors: Tbx5 and Tbx4, respectively.[4][5]

Dude, I don't understand anything at all about this stuff, I'm just an illustrator lol. Last time I studied biology was in high school, but a random teacher hired me to do a motion graphics video to help his alumni understand his course, and I just had to look up stuff to be able to know what to draw. I was feeling completely lost until I found this very well-explained video. Thank you so so so so much.

Sir Limb is formed from lateral mesoderm??
@axt2027 жыл бұрын
sir i have a doubt is that limb bud is actually formed from ectoderm?? i studied that it is from mesoderm and the lateral mesoderm and somites move to a region below the ectoderm and proliferate. Thereby a bulge is formed, that pull the ectoderm outward and it is not an outgrowth of ectoderm. Is that correct???

Human creation in Quran We have created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him a sperm-drop in a firm resting place. Then We turned the sperm-drop into a clot, then We turned the clot into a fetus-lump, then We turned the fetus-lump into bones and We clothed the bones with flesh; thereafter We developed it into another creature. So glorious is Allah, the Best of the creators. (Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 14) Those are many other version of translation. But understanding arabic langguage is the best way to get the true meaning of the verses. Thanks
