I have a 60# bear Montana longbow that I need reduced to 45#-50# cause of a rotor cuff injury only thing I don't know if there's enough glass to be trying to do this are you familiar with this bow or could you tell me how thick the glass should be in order to do this and still have a dependable bow and how thick the glass should be to safely take 10 or so pounds off? Kirk, i have a Ben Pearson #40 hunter i would like to make it #35, can i do that by taking some off the sides of the limbs.? I have a large edge sander.

I bought a used samick sage takedown bow, it's 55 pound and way too heavy to be enjoyable, would I screw it up to sand limbs
