LimbSaver Sharpshooter X-Ring Barrel Dampener

Short video of my findings with the LimbSaver Sharpshooter X-Ring Barrel Dampener. Barrel was allowed to cool for 5 minutes or so between each group.

I have a Lithgow LA102 in 6.5 creedmoor. Using top line factory ammo I can get 0.4 inch groups at 100 yards. Using cheap ammo that was giving 1.15 inch groups, when I installed the LimbSaver, I got 0.316 inch groups at 100 yards. It truly works.

I use them on my rimfires, I find excellent results. My centerfires I haven't tested yet (6.5-300wby is expensive)

Got one ordered for my texan 510 cal. Maybe it will tighten things up a little. Already accurate out of box. Gotta try

Congratulations on the video, very instructive. A question, can this limb saver be attached to a rifle that has a fixed script? Enter to? It is flexible? Or is it rigid? Thank you very much for your answers.

It is flexible. Not sure what a "fixed script" and "Enter to" means in your question.

I do not use a telescopic sight, but only the aiming organs of the rifle. Will it work for my carbine? Thank you.@@number40Fan

Do you know the dimensions of this product like how long it how thick?

I use one on my 22lr and get great results. Put on on my Howa mini action 223 and it wouldn't stay on the barrel as the recoil shock wave kept throwing it off after each shot. Any ideas as to how to keep it gripping the barrel anyone?

"Cool the barrel with a mix of 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol, apply with rag, and the key is to put enough on to where the liquid is dripping off the bottom of the barrel. You will be amazed at how quick the barrel cools. Blued barrels, apply oil when you are finished shooting for the day.

When starting to tune, have the doughnut all the way to the rear, move up in small increments of 1/4"-1/2". The doughnuts are not easy to move, so they will stay in place.
