Lime was a synth-pop group from Montréal, Canada, during the 1980s. The group was composed of husband and wife Denis and Denyse LePage, although two younger and more attractive singers, Joy Dorris and Chris Marsh, were chosen to tour and appear as the act. They are most noted for their songs "Angel Eyes" (1983) and "Your Love" (1981 #1 US Dance). Very early in their career, they released an instrumental 12" single vinyl record called "The Break" under the name Kat Mandu. The single was successful and peaked at number three on the disco chart.[1] Singer Denyse also wrote and sang on the record "Dancin' the Night Away" by Voggue. There were rumors that Denis and Denyse were in fact one person and Denis LePage did both vocals, a deep vocal for Denis and a falsetto type voice for Denyse[citation needed].
The band faded from popularity in the 1990s, and Denis LePage signed over rights to classic Lime royalties[2] before releasing a new album, Love Fury, in 2002.

In 1982 my friend Ben made me a tape with this and a bunch of other hi energy songs. At the time I was mostly listening to r&b and funk and this music blew my mind. Ben also was already going to clubs and told me which clubs to go in San Francisco and what to wear. The designer jeans and clothes were everywhere and everyone was wearing it. Ben and I was already wearing Kansai Yamamoto t shirts and only a few knew about that Japanese high fashion designer. Kansai became famous when he started dressing David Bowie in the 70’s. I remember finally finding a store that carried Kansai and after cashing my check from my summer job at Wells Fargo buying 2 Kansai T-shirts on sale (only 2 stores carried it in SF). I went on my lunch break bc I didn’t want them to sellout and it was at this small designer clothes store that not many knew about. When I came back to work k I showed it to my coworkers and they were like ok and you like that?! Lol! Back then in the early 80’s, it was about going clubbing, looking your best and wearing the best clothes and driving a nice car, i was still working in that part and didn’t get my first car until 1987.
