It doesn't help much sadly. You have to be fast with fire, you have to hit the player with the fire, you need the player to actually get hit with wax, and just one debuff isn't that useful, and is most likely as lucky as you'd get.

Get someone with all that negative fire resist to be hit by a hyper mode, power within, secret oath (if possible), war banner buffed pyromancer with Chaos Bed Vestiges while the negative fire resist guy is jumping for a supercounter? Could be fun to see how ridiculous the numbers could get. I'm sure there are many potential ways to boost this damage that I'm not thinking of as well. By the way, love your videos, Limit.
