Hope everyone had a fun filled few weeks! Did YOU join in and get some done this season? I'm amazed at what I was able to fit into these busy, busy few weeks. I'd love to know how you did, or even just how your Holidays (if in the states) were! And if not in the states - just life...lol. Leave me a comment...

I am just aiming for done. LOL! I love the idea of doing cards in stages. I am really loving taking my backgrounds that I have already made and using them for cards. Loved this style of video BTW. And hello Michael! hehehe... Your grandbabies are so cute!

Aren't they?!! I was making the card on the thumbnail right after, to which Reid promptly said of course right after I turned the camera...I want that one!!! It's funny, we have a hard time discerning what he's saying, yet when boldly exclaiming which card HE wanted...clear as a bell...lol 😂🎨😁

You totally have this Tiffany. Stages are amazing. And I KNOW you have enough backgrounds....lol.

Never realized how much joy a simple card can bring to someone until I did a Christmas card exchange. I have sent out cards all through "Covid" since no one was allowed to gather/travel just for my own sense of sanity to keep in touch with family and friends, but never understood the power of that simple gesture until this year and the card exchange - receiving a card has been so uplifting to me.... Thank you for all your videos. Wishing you and your family a joy filled holiday season.

Omg Ingrid this video is absolutely brilliant. You’re a genius. And then you pulled my stencils and used them for Xmas cards. How awesome. I don’t know how you create in the car I would get so nauseous.

Thank you Ingrid for showing me that all I need is a plan, some time managament and that I do not have to finish everything in one go. I have so many ideas rolling around in my head that usually I do not know where to start and then get into trouble timewise.. thank you for your inspiration and encouragement, I loved the gelliprints and how you turned them into cards. x

Dear Ingrid, thanks for your inspirational video again. It is so great that you make these large sheets and make cards from it. I really like your designs. Can you make a video on that? I learned from the summer eat sleep and craft, that you put an extra colour of paper in the middle on the top and bottom. That was already an eye opener for me. As I used only a border on the whole panel . And you quickly showed some designs here but I think I can really learn a lot of designing the cards. Maybe it is your secret and you do not want to share, but maybe I am lucky.... Thanks again for your always inspirational videos and how great you made all those Christmas cards this year!

Your cards were really nice all my backgrounds were gel prints with snowflakes I made 100 none the same and that’s what I like about gel printing. I think I made a total of 6 different designs and I made over 112 cards the most so far. Congrats on getting some cards made, I don’t work because of cancer but it gives me lots of time for my art when I’m feeling good,

Hey Michele!!! Sadly not too much. I'm working full time now, so my travel time is greatly cut back 😭, but with how volatile travel has been for a few years, so thankful we could replace his income with mine. 10 years of hard work on KZbin paid off, I developed a new expertise....lol. I so did not prompt them either, they were naturally mesmerized with the card making. I miss them already... Thanks for popping by chickie!! Glad you enjoyed it. 😘🍁🎨

There is nothing I love more than sitting down to make a special card for someone, be it a close friend, or a good neighbour. However I don't always feel like making the card in one go. I might only have 15 minutes to spare, so I just decide what colour card or DSP I want to use and which stamps/dies I am going to use. Once I have done that I put it all on my desk ready to assemble wen I am ready, or have more time. There is NO rule that says you HAVE to sit and make the card in one go. Some of us can do that, some are not able to for whatever reason. I feel as if I have achieved something if I do it in small steps, when I can. Health issues get in my way and I have learned that, for me, it is better to just make my cards in stages. It works for me. Just do what works for you! That gorjuss snow in your video, and those oh so red leaves...deep sigh! Such a beautiful scene! Thanks Ingrid, stay well and have a Magical Christmas! xx

I'm new to this process and need to know what kind of paper to use. Weight of paper? Beautiful thought for the holidays.
@IngridBlackburn3 жыл бұрын
Great question Linda! For my bases I used heavyweight neenah 110# solar white. For the prints neenah exact 100# which is much cheaper and lightweight. I use that for layers as it's lightweight too. I have a supply list in the description if that helps with clickable links for ease. Happy card making!! 😘😍🎨

All so beautiful - and dividing tasks into chunks just smart. Yes, you inspired me to get crackin’ - today! - since I do have time! If you’re the gel plate princess, I’m the princess of procrastination (that PhD is on the wall). And a question - the dark chocolate (?) lines above and below some prints that sets them off nicely crisp against the flow-y parts: is that cardstock? Or paint or ink? When I’m tired I’ve used cardstock; when alert sometimes I mask off and use ink. Happy holidays to you and yours - including your “hi honey.”
@IngridBlackburn3 жыл бұрын
What a great question Beth! Yes, it's cardstock. IF I had time, I'd emboss, but I love the clean lines of the Deep Chocolate cardstock - it needs that little something. Dresses the card up, little touch. Have fun creating today! I'm finishing up writing cards in the car today. Been a cram packed few weeks, still can't believe I got a stack of cards done to be mailed out in between everything. 😘😍🎨
