It happens at 9:44 in the kill video, you can hear someone say "grab the essence" and Max doesn't know yet what sort of play THD is pulling at the other side of the room. It was straight up 0.1 seconds before explosion he picked it up and saved the pull.

Been watching since Nyalotha, this was the best I've ever seen this guild play, strategize, and take care of the players' health. Years ago there would have been instant "just go again" pulls after deaths, but this time it was a systematic consideration of what went wrong + planning + adjustments before pulling. If the orb had stayed where he picked it up the raid would have wiped in the very next second (its not perfectly timed to miliseconds because the addon timers aren't that exact, but even THD reacting slower would have been a wipe, beside the point that no one else could have picked it up in that short amount of time)

Also it's just yet again another massive point that showed their sloppy play and inconsistency in this tier. And with that being said Echo never took the lead really the whole race whereas in most races there is a leap frog effect from being able to save time going in blind on pulls do to having liquid vods and na long maintenance times etc. That simply just didn't happen at all this time. Liquid started with a lead and never looked back. Overall they were way less consistent compared to liquid. Saying it was close is just cope and not being realistic about what really happened. But what's new it happens every tier. It was not at all only queen where they showed sloppy play and inconsistency, that's only the conclusion someone would make if they didn't watch the whole race.

You need to put more emphasis on THDs play there for the unwashed masses to really understand what it takes to get the kill. I remember raiding with an older gentleman I’ll call “T.” T was a pet battler very casual, when he first joined he made mistake after mistake, his damage was subpar. However, over time, while his damage did improve it wasn’t why he became one of our most stand out players. If T was ever personally assigned a mechanic he would execute flawlessly, not only that T would be the first to volunteer for busywork and would readily take one for the team. He would often disparage himself by saying “Well I’m probably just gonna die anyways/ I don’t really do any damage.” Something he never noticed was that he was so important to the team, when mechanics mattered the most, he had the highest priority brez of all DPS, even over our biggest pumpers. I miss you T.

Liquid designing comp set up and strategy for bosses 4-8 that any EU / CN guild was able to freely rip from. Which is AN INVALUABLE time save for guilds that are behind. Also, as of 0900 EST (1500 CET) Echo is STILL at 19% which IS STILL 4% BEHIND than Liquid was on their 11th day.

US had 2 5 hour maintenance periods, whilst EU is around 20 minutes. I believe it's only an 8 hour advantage if that doesn't happen so, this race was completely balanced, as well as Echo being able to cop all their tech on previous bosses saving around 150 pulls or so (being generous)

I am a healing andy that isn't playing right now, and I spent an insane amount of time watching Method, Echo and Liquid healer POV's this race. I think the biggest reason you guys were progressing on Ansurek pre damage nerf and Echo/Method weren't is because of how strong the performances were of Nick, Xesevi, Cere, and Driney. Nick and Xesevi in particular progressed individually so quickly, and were able to almost instantly put out crazy numbers in moments where the pressure was high. They seemed to just breeze through the fights like they already knew it. @Maximum don't change anything in your healing roster, Liquid undoubtedly has the strongest healing team in the world right now.
