Two hour train ride has flown by. Couldn't be arsed to watch anything after the shit day I've had but Limmy is fucking great. I'm going to take a bath when I get home. Just hope I don't cross my legs and end up on the critical list.

If you read forums by airline staff Bob Monkhouse rated highly as a lovely person to deal with....he was the anti Cilla

He used to send my skint primary school money in the 90s cos our name was monkhouse primary. He bought us a load of cool gym apparatus that we were never allowed to go on a single time for reasons which were never explained. Possibly insurance.

Monkhouse was the best host. Look at one of his final gigs, riddled with cancer, he played infront of a room full of comics, and he was utter perfection. He was a great writer of jokes, he wrote for Bob Hope in the fifties. A talented artist too.

Disappointed he missed a couple of names in the credits at the end. Music by Dave Lindup, father of Mike of Level 42 fame. And produced by William G Stewart, of 15 to 1 fame (amongst many other things)

Limmy, I also often wonder how it would be to just be someone f***ing famous line Jeff Goldbloom. Just to basically have to EXIST, and everyone just applauds.

01:03:08 - That's why it's a clever answer but at the start he did say "to buy new clothes" That's a wee bit different. I was thinking "to wash clothes" but that isn't the motivation most times. The motivation is to wash yourself or put on other clothes, or the other option that I won't mention if I want to keep my KZbin comment....career.... But aye that's a good answer. I'm commenting now, having not watched the rest of the video yet and I am emotionally invested in this answer.

Pretty much every actor now is just playing some vague version of themselves that's basically the same in everything. Because practically everything now is not a crafted screenplay that's put to film by teams of passionate crafts people who are all some of the best in the world at their craft...it's cookie-cutter algorithm-written bilge that's put to film by wannabes and businessmen with no craft, all working from an industrial template and data-dictated "content" production and all running their movies through the exact same laptop editing suites with templated heavy color filters and all the rest of it (again, all just the same old thing no-matter what genre, that the data tells them is most popular).

Limmy little s an absolute legend. His mind works in mysterious ways but i find it so funny. I am also someone who when Limmy first came on the scene on tv etc I wasn’t a fan but I probably didn’t give him a chance cos now I’d watch him all day long
