Well according to an interview with Wes, they've recorded a lot of instrumentals over the years, but Fred is unsatisfied with his vocal parts, so he keeps throwing them away. He'll finally pick the songs he's most satisfied with, finish them, and then finish the record.

A lot of these sound like the “results may vary” era. They recorded a whole album and ditched it to start over. And like that penguin guy said, sounds common for fred to scrap songs.

@Ct mmp SMOKE WITH ME IN C.T. yeah 2003 - and when was his kid Dallas born? 2001. As I said, written and recorded during RMV days but not released. It was leaked around 2008 I believe. I feel like I’ve heard this before. I probably did. All the years I’ve been following Limp Bizkit it’s hard to remember everything at this point. The core fans never minded Fred sharing so much. We’ve watched in aw and appreciation. I know he’s gotten a lot of hate and disrespect from others that just don’t get it. And I think he’s amazing for what he’s shared. He never wavered and weathered his storms like a man. He’s never apologized for being who he is and to me that’s what makes real stars. True artists never compromise. So thanks for all the years you’ve given of yourself Fred. It’s had a huge impact on other people’s lives. It’s meant a lot. 😘😘🤘🤘🇺🇸

Fear I guess is my guess. Shame really lmao they should've stayed together in the early years of the 2000s, could've continued making Nu Metal popular and mainstream with pop, rap and hip hop in America throughout the 2000s as opposed to just two four years (2000-2004)
@thatdrewguy90983 жыл бұрын
I mean logically artists prefer unfinished work to not see the light of day. I mean if it doesn't fit the album theme so well, songs often get saved for later albums. So some of these might of been on the back burner in hopes of ending up on later albums. If I had to guess I would think this was recorded during when they worked on Results May Very. Sounds very much like that era of LB. That and to some extent they haven't been sitting on these. The fans that have been listening all these years were shared a lot of these along the way. They just don't stay around the same as unpublished music. This is one of the few new songs I have heard from Limp Bizkit Underground. LB underground used to be more of a forum format website way back when.
@davidpemberton55613 жыл бұрын
@@NEWSUPERCHARGER2001 Nothing to do with shame. Wes wasn't happy and left, they tried with Mike Smith and it just wasn't the same. Wes came back, they immediately put an album out. I never really dug into why he left the 2nd time actually. Wes did BLB for awhile, then he came back for the 3rd time, actually did both LB and BLB and from what I've been hearing, Fred's been really hard on himself about the lyrics and how he sounds on the songs. Wes said they've got some 40 instrumental tracks done and lined up ready to go. Plus, this isn't some oddity in regards to musicians. Look how much stuff Tupac had recorded before he died and damn his stuff is still getting released today lol. Some musicians spend downtime doing anything but music and others spend downtime doing nothing but music. Lots of downtime between Wes' comings and goings.
@davidpemberton55613 жыл бұрын
@@thatdrewguy9098 spot on, if I remember they recorded way more stuff with Mike Smith than what was just released on Results May Vary. I mean, there's "technically" an entire full B-side album that's floating around out there now. The song armpit was from back in the OG days, even before Three Dollar Bill, Y'all. That song was on their demos before they even got signed but it came out under the RMV B-sides album
@brandonlytle93923 жыл бұрын
Wes had said they had enough tracks written for stampede of the Disco elephants.. Fred had all the lyrics written and then for some reason he scraped everything.. I think they would just rather play live and then I've noticed recently they're testing out some of the new tracks to a live crowd to see how they react to em
