For the first time, ‪@LimXDynamics‬ has showcased a test of its humanoid robot, codenamed CL-1.
CL-1 is one of the few humanoid robots around the world that achieves dynamic stair climbing based on real-time terrain perception, mainly thanks to LimX Dynamics' advanced motion control and AI algorithms, along with proprietary high-performing actuators and hardware system.
Active Environment Perception: Clear Insight into Discrete Terrains
Next-gen Hardware: Building the Backbone of Whole-Body Dynamic Motion
General AI Algorithms: Unleashing Generalization Capabilities
LimX Dynamics focuses on developing motion control algorithms, utilizing General AI to unlock the powerful generalization of humanoid robots as the optimal physical embodiment of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). CL-1 has taken a significant step forward to become the next widely used intelligent terminal besides cars and smartphones in the future.

Of the humanoid robots I've seen, this one has some of the coolest head and torso regions I've seen. The legs are a bit short and nubby, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. It also appears to be a zero moment walker. If you want to make it more natural and cool, I would recommend a neurally driven walking system!

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of the unveiled humanoids in the last year or so (Fourier, 1x, etc.) do the faceless black screen for a head and while it was neat at first, it gets pretty boring by now.

Looks futuristic! I like it. But the locomotion still needs some work. Do you use Reinforcement Learning (I guess you do...)?

I thought this was going to take decades. But it looks like it's going to be months, years. The question is who is going to come out first with the model T of robot for everyone. Who ever achieves that monumental moment will dominate the domestic and industrial markets for decades. Obviously the limes motor movement needs more development and research, to iron out the kinks. But from what I can see it's okay just more work to polish it up. The Robots are coming the Robots are coming ! .

Looks like the new Atlas model from boston dynamics is going to be an actual product, unlike the previous one which was just a research platform. Crazy how much stuff can develop in a few months

This is what they're showing. I can only imagine what developments and breakthroughs are being made that they aren't showing. As cool as this is, exoskeletons that augment human capabilities are another area that's incredibly promising.

It's 'location altering', not walking. It isn't using its forward momentum to walk as we do. I was hoping it was going to reach up and detach all connections, then do a flip. Oh well.

Looks to me like we are going to have as many bipedal robot styles as cars. Some with short legs, some with longer legs. Some with beautiful fairings and guards, some with lovely machines parts, and some with fabric to hide all the pinch points. I am looking forward to robots that are prepared to almost straighten their leg, rather than be super cautious, but that's the future. In the meantime, these little guys and ones like them will be the norm.

And, what is the main difference compared to Boston Dynamics' development of bipedal robots? Maybe Chinese engineers developed it in less time than the competing American company? I'm not sure about the development time of the Chinese robot tho.

It needs curvy flexible back bones and neck bones, add curvy butt, add front thicker chest, this will balanced the body robot while stand and walk, so it legs can stand straight like human.

I can't help comparing humanoid robots to Boston Dynamics and Tesla. Do they have the fluid motion of Boston Dynamic's Atlas or do they have the intelligence and dexterity of Tesla's Optimus.

Does it really need to move its arms when it walks? It doesn't seem to be apart of balancing the robot because it moves so little.

Yeah, I was looking the same.. dynamics of limb movements in relation to balance were not completely integrated, I feel. Perhaps the non-dynamic movements still contribute to the balance though. Nice work 😊

I love that there are new companies, but what on earth is boston dynamics doing, its like they stopped working 3 years ago. What these new companies are showing has already been done by BD multiple years ago. No point in iterating over the same thing for years. I really wish some of these new companies break the ceiling set by BD

Bullsh$t, you know nothing about robotics. Honda’s Asimo from decades ago is more advanced than Tesla’s robot. You guys blindly follow bullsh$t. Tesla’s robot can’t even walk up stairs, don’t get me started on their sh$tty actuators that are as slow as snails.
