i just bought one exactly like this one for welding! very nice!

As long as you are using small diameter rod, you could also weld with a set of batteries and no haul around a heavy generator, welder and fuel supply. Some people also weld with an alternator mounted under the hood in a pickup truck and powered by the vehicle engine.

Thomas Kendrick thank you for watching and comment. We all have different point of view. To me your technique is not safe.

Doing that even once will 110% roach those batteries though. Those are gonna be some hella expensive jenk welds.

I recently got the 9k version of this generator, running same 220 plug but to a different welder. It's a HF Titanium unlimited 200 unit, runs 120/220 but it's not letting me switch it to 220, shows voltage error message. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
@ideaslandscape4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and comment. It should let you work . Because you are getting 220 from Generator. You can test each prong to see if you are getting 110 in both side.

Have you figured it out? I have the same welder and I am thinking of buying this generator for it.
@rushindustries74874 жыл бұрын
I wired a twistlock plug with a three wire cable as an adapter for the regular plug, going to check if the voltage is correct at the end of it. Did this before I saw your plug video and figured I may have the other 110 missing somewhere in the twistlock end lol

Pretty sweet. I wonder if it would be harmful to run an inverter type welder off of a generator (being that the power from a small generator varies with the rpm of the motor). I'm really curious but just too chicken to try.
@ideaslandscape7 жыл бұрын
thank you for watching and comment, i don't thing it will damage your generator, worst case scenario it will pop the fuse to protect your generator, how big is your generator?
@TheConcreteBox7 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I was not very clear. I would be worried about damaging the inverter-type WELDER. As you know, I use a Lincoln Square Wave Tig 200, which they say the old transformer machines like yours are basically "bulletproof" so i would worry about running my Tig 200 off a generator. Your thoughts?
@ideaslandscape7 жыл бұрын
i love to try pretty much everything, your generator it's just providing the power to your machine, you can try slowly, that's my thought but it's your machine lol. thank you for watching and comment

I can use 5/32 7018 rod with same generator old style Lincoln electric welder useing short pigtail at 150 amp setting
@ideaslandscape6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and comment. I will try that. I been welding at 110Amps. 3/8" thick material and it worked good.

Yes the higher I went with amps the better it worked 7 inch long weld half inch wide but I wouldn't want to run it any longer periods of time people told me I'd have trouble doing it your vedeo inspired me to try thank you

@@danbrejcha6254 Check my video , i didn't have any problem at 100 Amps . push plate adapter is very solid kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqqviK2Joc6nkLc

an everlast power arc 200st would be much more efficient. You could probably run 5/32 rod with the everlast powerarc 200st.
