I’ve had the 2025 GV80 for about six months now. The exterior is imposing. The interior is solid. The Bang and Olufsen sound system is amazing. I chose it over an X5 and I don’t regret my decision at all.

If you want luxury interior which includes things like premium materials, better sound dampening that’s what the black label trim is for… so not testing a black label isn’t a direct comparison. if you want something that’s your average more run of the mill interior you go for the lower trims for Lincoln.

I like the styling of the nautilus way more. The Genesis grill looks too foreign to me. I do like that it offers a V6. lack of a V6 is keeping me from buying the Nautilus. A shame because I like everything else about it. The Genesis may seem nice when new, but I have a feeling it will show it's age faster than the Lincoln, I'm currently looking towards the Aviator because of of the 3.0 and updated tech.

Agreed I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. It looks like the genesis is 80+ and you can get a fairly loaded Nautilis 2025 for the high 60s. 20 grand matters. As others have commented they should’ve compared it to the aviator. I don’t think the bias of rear wheel versus all-wheel-drive is the defining factor. Price is.

I've said it for a while...Lincoln is all show but no substance. For a Ford product, reliability is mediocre. This SUV (and the brand) have little value. Genesis is what Lexus was 30+ years ago. They bring a full plate to dinner why Lincoln offers a sub sandwich and some chips. The only thing in question for the Genesis brand is reliability. They've improved a bit since 2019, but still behind Acura (which has dropped a few pegs the past few years). I'm team Genesis.

If I’m being honest, every Lincoln still has a ford dynamic feel to it besides navigator. Genesis is boat loads softer and more comfortable than Hyundai … same with caddy an Chevy/ Infiniti an Nissan. Ford is messing up somehow

Yeah I'm team Genesis. They need to work on their engine efficiency and beyyer reliability. They reliability part has improved for sure. Genesis reminds me of Lexus due to the path they are going. But in some cases they are outdoing Lexus and have out done Lexus when Lexus was coming up. As if now when I think of sport luxury believe it or not I think of Genesis. Even with their reliability not being on par with Lexus and efficiency not on par with the Germans, I'd pick owning a Genesis over a Lexus. It's just more of my taste. But when it comes to performance I'd go with BMW.

To my understanding you said the Hybrid on the Nautilus was almost as good as a Toyota or Lexus. Do remember Ford and Toyota did work together on hybrids back about 10-15 years ago. During the time Ford was developing the Ecoboost.

Thanks for the great review. I tested drive GV70 and Nautilus this year, and agree with the noise part and infortament part. One thing i want to call out is, color really influences our perception of a car. A light color interior or exterior looks at least 20% better than black or grey. The white exterior of nautilus gives the car much better looking, but black interior makes the car looks extremely old and dull. GV80 on the opposite, the white interior boost your feeling to its material, but the dark exterior make it looks lackluster. Imaging if you swap the color of these two car, you may have different comment to them. Not saying the review is incorrect, but we human being really easy to get influenced more than we think.

The Lincoln Aviator would be a better comparison especially considering the RWD biased platform. The Nautilus should have never lost the 2.7 twin turbo V6. I'd rather have the 2023 version with the V6 and basic layout. I'm not a fan of the extra electronics that's just distracting rather then helping with anything substantial. So find a good low mileage 2022-23 model especially the black label with the aforementioned motor.

I had a GV80 and now the Lincoln. Blue cruise is FAR superior to the self driving system on the Genesis. So, I'm sticking with Lincoln. And I care about the mpg too.

Both are great options, but the Genesis would be my choice. The Nautilus Black Label is the correct equivalent to the GV80. The Aviator is a much bigger vehicle.

GREAT REVIEW....THANK YOU. My wife has the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus and loves it. The 2024/25 Lincoln redesign got narrower inside and has less cargo space. The seats are also narrower and firmer. And it's built in China now. China??? Ever since Lincoln moved their design team out to California, everything seems more feminine, WOKE and DEI inspired. Hate the small girly steering wheel on the Lincoln. Definitely $10K less in quality and cost, so I get it. The GV80 is pretty sweet, although the quilted seats seem a little strange when you sit on them for the first time. Also, no Air Suspension for $80K, and the GV80 also has some flimsy dash and dial controls knobs. Both are really decent vehicles, so for my wife, she would be happy with either. But on a 3-year lease, either would be OK, so we'll see. The GV80 is sexier, but the Lincoln might be the easier choice. Just renting, not buying!!!! But China......not sure about that one!!!!! Might have to go Korean!!!! * I would be curious to know if the GV80 can run on Regular gas or Premium, where as I believe that the Lincoln can run on Regular gas. That could be a significant difference as well between the two when looking at fuel consumption costs. 😁
