My air suspension works while driving, but it leaks down after a while when parked. But the ride quality is amazing, it's quite a bit better than my 1976 Cadillac! What differences would a picky person notice in the ride? Any different thuds or harshness? What about driving over the "rumble strips" grooves cut in the road to make noise? Top quality step-by-step tutorial, nice work!

Tbh I dont really feel a difference, rides just as smooth. I dont have to worry about sagging rear end anymore after I park. My navigator would look like a lowrider some days lol

@@gtflips This is what I’m dealing with now, Just put a new compressor in. And starting leaking down if it sat longer than a couple days. The other night coming home check air suspension light came on and the rear end completed aired out. Compressor not kicking on at all now. I’m gonna try a few things but I’m considering doing this conversion!

The Lincoln air ride system is an expensive system to maintain and components of the system will fail every 5 to 8 years under normal driving conditions. I purchased a used, low mileage, Lincoln Navigator L and the previous owner had already performed the conversion to eliminate the air bags, compressor and various sensors and replace them with the factory Ford Expedition coil springs. I'm very pleased with the smoothness of the ride and most people notice very little or no difference between the two different systems. The vehicle should now be free of expensive suspension problems for at least 10 to 15 years. Do you know how to turn off the "Check Air Suspension" message from the dash display upon start-up?

How about check engine light for suspension. There’s by pass kit out there from strutamaster for $450. Crazy price anyways is the navigator limited in speed due to the suspension light active after the conversion is done ? Can owners still drive the suv without overpaying strut master for their bypass box?

Im not too sure what your talking abkut about but i didnt get a check engine light from removing the airbags. I turned of the air compressor and then postioned the sensors for the airbags as if the car were fully lifted.

@@gtflips oh I didn’t know this. Wow. Strutmasters selling these kits and there’s a free way in avoiding the check engine like for suspensionfault after conversion. Nonetheless thanks for letting us know .
