The crazy thing is Lincoln Riley only had like 5 plays the entire game 😂😂..he just changed the variation of the play depending on what the defense showed

Very true. It is simple but with those guys on the outside they make them look unreal. Thanks for watching!

My pleasure, truly. The whole offense is so radically different... imagine trying to defend it! Will you cover the defence too... please, please. I'm so friggin excited about this team, the coaches and the program's future . You're a helluva teacher, btw!

@@optimagroup11 I will definitely look at coach Grinch and their defense. Have been a big fan of his since he was at Wazzu
@optimagroup112 жыл бұрын
Cool... heard he did a major turnaround there. With the kind of recruits we're lining up, we could be looking at some dominating defenses in the next few years. OMG, won't that be something! Keeping my fingers crossed that the defence stays healthy and that the 2's come along nicely. Encouraging to see so many players getting reps... gotta continue developing, building depth. Appreciate the reply. Hope tonight's game is a good one! Enjoy...

At time stamp 2:04. What keeps the number 2 receiver from getting an illegal block down field here?
@briggstondade498611 ай бұрын
Also the center is 4 almost 5 yards down the field before the pass is thrown.

Neither player did anything substantial but that’s wide open penalties missed here

Thanks for watching! In college if the pass is behind the line anyone get block downfield. I know in the NFL it is different though.

My man, I love your coaches breakdown of USCs passing concepts. These are pro style concepts that either attack a specific area of the field or specific player on defense and are nicely designed. This shows why coach Riley is an elite offensive coordinator and QB coach because he knows how to attack a defense using the vertical game. It’s too bad they didn’t use ground and pound in 2nd half against Stanford as they should have finished with 250+ yards rushing. Once they nail down finishing both halves strongly, they could potentially lead the nation in scoring. Can’t wait to see Raleek Brown back at full strength again and we get Judd Wolfe back in the fold. Coach Riley likes to use his tight ends and mix up his looks with two tight end sets as it expands our running concepts. Look out!

Lots of great points! It is going to see how they evolve and they are already elite on the edges if they can get some difference makers at TE and on the defensive front, I think they will be able to compete with the Alabama's and Ohio States of the world. Thanks for watching!

@@coachescaviar8898 Hey coach, please help me understand how Graham Harrell was able to land an OC job when his passing concepts seem so basic. Looking back he seemed under qualified. I can clearly see that coaching matters a lot at the high school, college and pro level.

Looks to me that he may not have evolved the air raid like the rest of the air raid guys have.

@@alfredmayes5005 ....That was a major complaint of mine. Harrell/Helton ran plays, but didn't attack with specificity or purpose....just "somebody get open" intramural football.

Great question. It is when they down block on the front side and pull the backside guard and tackle to the front side. We have a video that breaks it down from when coach Riley was at Oklahoma. Thanks for the encouragement and for watching!

Very insightful breakdown. A more disciplined defense won't be so easily fooled by those misdirections. Eventually, they'll start to double Addison and force Mario and Rice to make plays. Caleb's ability to run or bootleg turns things into a pick your poison scenario. If the offensive line continues to play well, the points will come even against the best teams in the conference. Too many weapons, play design is too tricky. And they aren't really using RB screens/out yet to Raleek Brown in space, which I think could become a game changer. This week we did see some more TE action. Execution is flawless, all in one offseason.
