I believe her name is actually Linda Eder... She is a fantastic singer. Lara's like tone, Streisand's like vibrato, Céline's like resonance I am sad we do not have more of her recordings but I have always loved her ..... she does a GREAT cover of Don't Rain On My Parade if you want too listen to more of her.... She also was the original Lucy in the musical Jekyll & Hyde "someone like you" was the big song of that musical, also worth checking out.

Linda is still singing just as well now in her 60’s . Her heart is actually better than how she sings if one can imagine that . She caresses her songs, getting the listener involved instead of being loud from beginning to end . She shows every bit of her talent . Her voice is incredible whether she is singing over the rainbow or on the street where you live to what kind of fool am I . She is the reluctant diva shying away from celebrity yet has the talent to be regarded as the best female singer presently . Celine is incredible yet her voice has a nasal sound . Linda is clear and pure which is why some can’t be presented a feeling . Linda makes the listener fill in their own meaning instead of being presented with one . Judysthe man thst got away is so well acted that you feel Judy is about to fall apart and you along with her . Linda would sing that song and you wouldn’t know more about Linda . Her folks are from the hearty land of Minnesota and folks their stifle their emotion as to not burden others or draw attention to themselves . Linda has a tiny bit of that how could she not . This is why I love her - as the listener you apply your feeling instead of being burdened with the singers life coming through as they sing . Linda wouldn’t want her listeners to be worried about her . She’s had heartache - frank wild horn her ex husband left her fir another yet Linda has NEVER alluded that to her fans . To her her concerts are about her fans , not herself . She’s a top notch clsss act . Frank Wildhorn is a fool .

Linda Eder has been my vocal idol and inspiration since I was little. I was fortunate to see her live and it's hard to believe how pristine she sounds live. I hope you have heard her Vienna by now. That's the song that made her famous and the one she probably has had to perform every single show because the demand is so high. On another note, I hit the subscribe button halfway through this video. You are so charismatic, incredibly energetic and just fun. I always like watching people truly enjoying and appreciating music and with you, you can't help but smile. Your joy is infectious and I really appreciate you making this video. Yes, her name is Linda Eder. I guess she's been my favorite female vocalist, since I was introduced to her almost 20 years ago. Check out her album "Broadway My Way." She won 11 straight head-to-head competitions on Ed McMahon's TV talent competition "Star Search" in 1988, to claim the $100,000 prize...some of them are on KZbin. I think I remember hearing that she watched The Wizard of Oz with her father when she was about 6 or 8 years old, and that set her on her path. That was probably in an interview on KZbin. Glad to see your reaction and analysis...I'll have to check out your channel. Don't forget Judy Garland. You should check out Mario Lanza, the greatest male singing voice, if you want to be equally blown away.

The male version of this, imo, is Jeremy Jordan's live cover of "It's All Coming Back to Me Now". Not only is a stellar cover vocally it is also very funny due to Jeremy's sense of humor. I wished Linda Eder or Megan Hilty had played the role of the "greatest singer in the world" in The Greatest Showman. When doctors told Hugh Jackman not to sing for the workshop. Jeremy helped save the movie by singing all of the parts except the final song. Hugh Jackman disobeyed doctor's orders and sang the last song. Which opened up the stitches on his nose. Jeremy didn't get cast in the movie, unfortunately.
