Linda Evans on "The View"

Actress Linda Evans is interviewed by Meredith Vieira on "The View". She discusses her fitness book, talks about women's issues such as aging and dieting, explains why she left Hollywood, and shares what her favorite memory is "Dynasty". I'm not sure when this interview originally aired, but I'm guessing sometime in the early to mid '90s.

I always loved Linda Evans also. I think she's beautiful inside and out. I would love to meet her. She'd be the best friend to have ever.! She's a rarity in the Hollywood scene as she didn't seem to have a problem leaving it, and I love the way she totally didn't care about working in films after she left Dynasty. She pursued a spiritual path and went on an inward journey. She looks wonderful here. I know in later years she suffered from A few illnesses which rocked her. I would love to know how she's going now as this interview looks like it was quite a few years ago now and Linda would be approaching her 80s now. What a truly lovely human being she is. Bless you, Linda and thank you for all the joy you gave us on Dynasty (in the 80s) and in your other roles like Big Valley (In the 60s). 🙏🏻💕

I think Meredith Vierra is one of the best interviewers out there. As wonderful as it is listening to Linda, I think a lot of folks in that business should study her style. Look at how she doesn't try to ride roughshod over Linda, but works with her natural conversation. Awesome.

'the view' debuted in the late 90s, and considering the date of linda's exercise tape combined with the 'happy thanksgiving' graphic i'd say this interview would have been late november 1997..
