I miss her in movies. She's always been a great actress in my book. She nails these roles everytime.

Too bad she got a bad rap, Tommy Lee Jones refused to return for the "Men in Black" sequel if she was going to be a part of it, would have loved to see her mix it up with Will Smith, but that's not the only Hollywood backstory, Kevin Smith said she made him miserable on the set of "Dogma". Looks like increasing lack of work forced her into retirement.

I love Linda Fiorentino, but to be one of THE most iconic female leads in history you'd need at least a dozen major motion pictures to your name and you'd need to actually be a lead in most of your movies. None of that applies to Linda.

I watched the movie because of this scene. I knew nothing else about it going in. I thought it was gonna be a romantic comedy about a stuck-up corporate exec from the big city who got stuck in a small town during a business trip, fell in love with a charming local guy she met in a bar, and learned the value of kindness. Boy was I wrong :D

Linda Fiorentino should've won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1994. Too bad the movie premiered on TV first (HBO) and thus she was disqualified. She would've easily won, too. 1994 had the weakest contenders.

We know people in Westport, CT who knew her. The smartest thing she did was quit the film business. She is high I.Q. educated and no one's fool. She was fed up with Harvey Weinstein's garbage and she made no bones about it. And THAT is when she was labeled, "difficult". Because she spoke up. Good for her. The word out in New York, is she STILL looks fabulous and.....keeps to herself and simply minds her own business. :) Honestly, what a private, elegant and class act. :)

The most unrealistic part of this is that the bartender in a small town locals bar knew how to make a Manhattan.

The movie takes place in the state of *New York,* the birthplace of the *Manhattan* cocktail, named after the *New York City* borough. So there.
@DemocracyDiesInDarkness11 ай бұрын
@@VinMar-m6w it takes place in upstate New York which might as well be in another country than Manhattan. It's clearly a local bar, not a touristy place. The bartender is gonna know how to uncap a bottle, pour a draft and pour booze and drinks that involve pouring two things together (gin and tonic, rum and coke). They aren't gonna know how to make a Manhattan.
