That guitar of you had such a glorious output signal. And it needs it to complement that voice. You really are a treat to listen to, Ms. Jennings. I am glad we chanced upon one another here in cyberspace. I only wish I had something online I felt might be worth sharing with you. Hell, perhaps I do. Whatever it is, it'll take a bit of a hike down memory lane to find it. And do for now, I'm just going to have to greedily guzzle up the glorious aural treats you've so generously left here on the kitchen windowsill that is KZbin and run back into the forest where I can disappear with it in mind that I really ought to find a way to show you how delicious that trip to your open window was. You really are quite magnificent. (And I'm reminded of the song that succeeded your Blind Audition. "At once I knew I was not magnificent." Doesn't apply here. You truly are a special talent and a joy to listen to.)

Check out Sneaky Feelin' by Magic Roundabout. It's a video of me aged 19 in one of my first bands. Looking all young and cute. In 2020 our band was signed to Thirdman records despite only being together from July 1986 to January 1988. So an album " Up" was released and we ended up being in a few decent music magazines. Whats weird Mark many of the songs I wrote around 1996- 2001 whilst studying popular music at University seem to link to Ammons stories and impressions of antiquity. I'll quote one in particular. " He saw the melted waxy hair of the Sirens and even though they burned he still desired them. Their skin was pale their hair was grey their eyes shone like diamonds. The breakers lashed a lacy dress upon the victim bridegroom."

@@lindajennings7375 Well, firstly, those are some really beautiful lyrics. "Up" you say? I was with a band called Undersound and we released a self-titled album that might have been uploaded by somebody at some point. I released another album under different names with the same group of musicians a little while after that. I think it was also self-titled, "Animals in Suits", but if I'm being totally honest, I actually can't remember. My contribution to both works was really restricted to strings and musical direction. I was proud of a lot of it, but I'm afraid to say that it really was basically a funk band and for the largest part, we aimed to create danceable party music. Before that, I played for a gothic rock band called The Awakening. The timing of my tenure with them was perfect - mid 1990s to early 2000s, back when gothic rock still had a soul of its own that extended beyond over-the-top make-up, black lace and PVC. Oh, boy, those were some fun times. And once again, when it came to the Awakening, I was a mere string man. Let me see if I can find you a video or two, just for kicks. Um... Okay, alas, I see that the original video for "The March" was taken down, and it's hardly surprising, given that it was filmed nearly three decades ago. Here's a photo of a younger, prettier me with our frontman, Ashton, live on stage in 19-whenever. I was still a baby. Look at me, playing my Jackson PS2 with that cursed Floyd Rose tremolo! d10j3mvrs1suex.cloudfront.net/s:bzglfiles/u/80122/0a5d7b0e0ba41d66b57521187bff2877affa9f46/original/z8b.jpg/!!/b%3AW1sic2l6ZSIsInBob3RvIl1d/meta%3AeyJzcmNCdWNrZXQiOiJiemdsZmlsZXMifQ%3D%3D.jpg And here is an actual music video from the Undersound days. We made it with animated stills and it really came out great. I wish I could make the claim that the lyrics were at all divinely inspired, but if they were, it wasn't through me. I suppose my proudest contribution to this particular song is the creepy, almost sort of aeolian harmony held by the backing vocalist when she sings the lyric "on my way-ay-ay-ay-ay". It was one of those harmonies that, given just another half a second would have been deleted forever, but fortunately, I was in the room and just drunk enough to say, "Hold up! Listen to that again, won't you?" I have nothing more to boast about, or to show you at this stage. But all the same, maybe you'll get a little kick out of at least a bit of that. Regarding the sax parts - this sax player joined our band not long after we finished the album and he went into the studio one day without any of the rest of us and basically replaced a number of my guitar parts with little single note saxophone copies. Oh, me, oh, my, and he was such a big douchebag to boot. Anyway, here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5TOZHV7oMt9nMk There is a load of other stuff all over the net, but I'll not bore you with any of that, especially here under your own personal work, which I'll say again, is just beautiful. In the meantime, I'll give the web a scouring for "Up". "Sneaky Feelin'" is already cued up and waiting to go. I just need to bang my way through a little bit of non-music-related work before I get utterly sucked into something that I suspect is going to completely enrapture me. And again, I hit you with a little autobiographical essay. I truly beg your pardon. It's obviously a birth defect that I just haven't yet had treated. 🤣 Thanks so much for hitting me back, though, Linda. It's an honour and a privilege.
