Can-linn feat. Kasey Smith beat off stiff competition from Patricia Roe, Eoghan Quigg, Andrew Mann and Laura O'Neill to win the right to represent Ireland at the 2014 Eurovision in Denmark this May. Linda Martin was part of the judging panel and Billy McGuinness was mentoring Laura O'Neill with her song 'You Don't Remember Me'.

Watching from Boston... When did the late late turn into the Gerry Springer show ?!! #3 was the best(cut back on dancing) in my opinion. ..#2 not bad #5 she's got an amazing voice and talent just not right for enro...her Mentor had a good point and the integrity to voice his concerns. ..Linda Martin came across poorly! Ireland has a good shot with this song....

In the past Linda sang around the country in bars,ect where there was plenty of rowdy customers. She was well able to perform and everyone was happy and merry. Europe like the Euro coin is a different scene and as the saying goes "fools dare where angles fear."
