I watched this interview the moment I got your message that it had been posted. I loved Linda's 1992 Market Wizards interview and saw her at a Telerate sponsored seminar in Las Vegas around 1993. I've got three pages of notes from this interview - with lots of underlined key points. I double underlined "The most important thing is to recognize when you've been dealt a good hand - and you have to play that to the hilt." That was so powerful to me because I try not to have "high conviction" trades - a trade is just a trade. Her comment caused be to question my bias, and I love when that happens! The two of you were great together, and I'm 100% with you both on giving back. Thank you.

Linda to me is one of the greatest traders who really show what they do, I know there are bigger managers but they never disclose what they do. She is so open and shares all - strategy, mindset, indicators.

Linda is a refreshing perspective on the art of trading that we can learn from in order to develop our own 'edge.' She offers an approach toward our developing our skills and then hold ourselves accountable. Thank you for the interview. Jason brought out a lot of great points in Linda's book that she could then expand upon. Thank you for that Jason. However, Jason spent too much time talking about him, when he should have been letting Linda talk about her. There were times he spoke over Linda, or he spoke too long when forming his question because he was setting his own perspective first.

Interview was great, loved Linda's chapter in New Market Wizards too! I'm not sure it's intentional or not, but this video is marked as "Unlisted" in case you were wondering about views, which it absolutely deserves!

So true, having edge takes times 3-5 years , i have tried many styles, trading stocks with trendline, moving average, and MACD, resistance and support. None of these work for me. I throw them away. Now i just trade usa major index funds (no stocks) straight from chart with no indicators, which surprisingly i found edge there. I did backtest it , now i am the process of refining my edge. I want it to work overtime.

What a fantastic interview! Thank you, Jason! And I'm sure Linda would be a great coach if she chose to be. Funny thing, last few weeks I'm training ANNs for work and I think a lot of people just don't realise how capricious things they are. But yeah, I really liked her purely technical perspective, it's kind of refreshing to hear that.

Yeah this does confirm what I have suspected ,, the edge is more a question of time spent studying the market while not losing all your money .. to first learn who you are in the process and then fine tuning to a discovered style..

Linda’s a likable person, and seems genuine, but a question as to whether or not, she can actually make money in the market. I remember spending 1500 bucks to be in Linda’s trading room 20 years ago. She had her hand picked trained room moderator his name was Chris. He’d call out a couple trades a day, and on balance will probably lost a teeny bit due to slippage and commissions. I asked all the people in the training room, how good his performance was and they said he’s about breakeven. I would notice the trades he called, would move the market a teeny bit, so if you were the first person to get the message, like an insider, you would’ve probably made a little bit of money off the rest of us. At any rate, a trading room full of 300 people paying $100,000 a month it’s probably the best way to make money in the market. I know I sound jaded, but I think almost every “expert” makes money in the market by selling useless information or managing money and skimming off the top.
