Jason you're a mensch, thank you for sharing this interview and thank you to your guest Mrs. Duke for sharing her insights. Good stuff, particularly enjoyed the chapter on "Adapting to Different Situations" and how we all shift our expectations, rules of engagement, etc when interacting with the various people in our lives. Cheers to you both.

That was a great interview, actually. The part about data puzzled me in the beginning because I am a scientist and I work with data. And you have to believe your data is real, statistically significant and the sample size is representative. But if you think about it, can very well not be the case. You can be biased and that has happened already, so usually you try to average over as many events as possible. Yet that still can be skewed due to selection bias. And in the case of market data, that's even easier to get, since most people have some kind of sector preference and macro outlook. So this part is really provocative. And Annie Duke is clearly very intelligent, so it was a pleasure watching the video. Thanks.

oh man, you shouldn't cut the Annia speeches like that, it makes the whole video so glitchy and it's just hard to grasp what she wants to say this way, I understand that people like to listen faster and shorter video gets more views and etc. but this is extreme, I think you should've leave it the natural way, also there are expressions in the face of speaker which shows and convey meaning, by cutting the silent part of speech, you cut part of conveying of the speaker. thX for interviewing the Annie Duke. you're doing great

The main problem with social media is that once you start talking about a certain subject that the algorithm tends to favor (controversial or bearish narratives)… you tend to get sucked into a system of views and comments of people who want that narrative to be true. That comes on all platforms.

Funny to see Annie just maneuvering Jason continuous speaking over her, for her and so on. This interview is not an interview. It is just Jason wanting confirmation and not listening to her at all. She didn’t need to be there and she is smart to “play that game”. He didn’t need to hear her, he just needed a hug.

So basically when it comes to data, that is also subjective like everything else. Wich means we need to fade ourselves. Because our biases are moslty wrong.

I love Annie Duke she is a great poker player and ambassador for the sport. I once asked her to marry me (online) but she respectfully turned me down. :( You still look great Annie. As a semi pro poker player and a professional trader for over 30 years the difference is that poker has fixed variables, there will never be more then 52 card as an example. Trading on the other hand has so many changing variables for example a new war just broke out a few weeks ago that will be very different then other wars etc etc..and the variables are limitless so the ability to categorize decisions I do not think can be done in trading.

Thinking in bets costs around $13 in the US, but 24€ in Europe, anyone can explain why? 24€ is approximately $25 at the current exchange rate.
@gualtieri6058 Жыл бұрын
it's imported from the US, so you have to add transport and duty fees
@p.c.h.6721 Жыл бұрын
@gualtieri6058 Understood, but it's almost double the price! Amazon is abusing European customers, you can import things from China, Vietnam...and it will not cost Europeans 100% more than the original price 🙈

Hi Jason. Just be careful about this kind of content, she is talking a lot and she is trying to spread seeds in your mind. Just watch it again and try to make some sense of what she is doing. You are very smart, but focus on what you are doing, you are ahead of the market so you don’t need distraction. Please share your opinions, I kind of used it really well. I find very useful information from your side.

14:00 get the other person's opinions independently. "What do you think about x?" not "I like x, what do you think?" Not "I'm bearish, what do you think?" 18:30 study that said kids who ate breakfast did better in school. But sampling issue, because only rich kids. Details matter. Not just the end result. What was the data feed?

@@TanTan_7 Right, I just confirmed, I could make a controversial comment, and trigger a reply. The question remains, isn't it an abnorma (l or statistical anomaly) to characterize your marriage as: " playing the marriage game" ? ( It's a Freudian Slip, obviously )
