Linda has such a powerful but soul-touching voice. What a truly top-shelf talent and person. Thanks, CR, for the Linda Ronstadt music. No autotune, no backing track, dancers, or twerking. Just singing and musicians.

You definitely found the right version. Like I always say, this is the most beautiful voice on the planet. She’s simply stunning. The perfect blend of sweetness and power. She can sing anything and make it better than it was. It’s very sad that she is no longer able to do what she loves to do and what we all delight in. Fortunately we have audio and video to enjoy what she shared with us. A magnificent talent. The “Blue Bayou” video is another wonderful live performance from the same concert. It is not dubbed and, obviously, she was never autotuned. Great reaction. 🌺✌️

It's hard to explain how much of an impact Linda Ronstadt had on the music industry in the 70's. Not only was she massively talented, but extremely popular in every musical genre. She was the first woman artist to fill stadiums and every song she covered became her own. It's easy to see why!

Great review. I always loved this song. Her version was my favorite by far. Since it was the first version I ever heard, it was the original to me. I always loved Linda Ronstadt since I was 9 years old in 1975. Always loved Crystal Gayle too. I'd like to see you react to "When I Dream" if you haven't already. How about "I Never Gave Up On You", Or "The Woman In Me". However, there are great highly underrated vocalists that you might not be so familiar with that I am desperately trying to get allot more people to listen and react too. Holly Dunn, My Beloved Lari White. Kelly Willis, Mandy Barnett, Shelby Lynne, her sister Allison Moorer among others. These are some of the finest voices of the past 40 years in Country Music or any genre. I personally think that Lari White and Mandy Barnett could hang with Linda Ronstadt, Patsy Cline or anybody else vocally. You would be hard pressed to find two better or more versatile voices. To get you curious, here is footage of Mandy Barnett in 1994 still a Teenager at the time. She had just won "the national New Miss Patsy Cline" contest. Mandy comes out on the Stage of the Grand Ole Opry as Patsy singing "Blue Moon Of Kentucky". It's just incredible as she looks and sounds almost exactly like Patsy did. Mandy was just inducted into the Opry as an official member a couple 3 years ago. Certainly, well deserved. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6K4mnaCbLNrndk

Ronstadt had the best voice of her generation. She’s part Latina, and did an album of mariachi standards called Canciones de mi Padre. I was totally unfamiliar with this kind of music till Linda Ronstadt opened me up to it. Ronstadt’s voice is the perfect vehicle, tender as a kiss and powerful as a thunderclap.

Another great memory from the 70's. So many things going on in music then. Styles branching off Rock and Roll. At a party you might hear Smoke on the Water followed by a Linda Ronstadt song. Then some Blondie or Willy Nelson. Wouldn't want to have grown up at any other time. Love watching these reactions!

The first time I saw Linda it was free. I was in 5th grade in Tombstone AZ, her high school choir was touring the state doing concerts at schools. I think it was Catalina High from Tucson. She was the reason they were touring, she sang 3 or 4 solos, she was amazing back in her school days. I saw 2 of her concerts in later years.

The first time I saw Linda Ronstadt, was at a small venue in L.A. She was performing as a trio with the Stone Poneys (probably mid 1960's) and she came out on stage barefoot and in a dress, looking like a little country girl. She is an outstanding singer and I was never disappointed at any of her shows. Sadly, she now has Parkinson's disease and is no longer able to sing. I love this song and when I was younger, too many a soon to be ex-boyfriend told me I should really listen to this song and take it to heart.

Linda's voice and a piano are all you need for a transcendental experience. Her vocals are just so pure and satisfying. The Eagle's version was on the album and just loved their version too. I noticed that there are many reactors who react to Eagles' live performances without getting blocked! (Probably not able to block like the recorded version!) There are many live Eagles reactions on KZbin, one of favorite live song of theirs is the live performance of "Take It To The Limit" the 1977 version with the late Randy Meisner on lead vocals.
