Linda Ronstadt is an American treasure and possessed the most beautiful voice on the planet for several decades in my opinion. It was cruelly stolen from her by a neurological disorder but we have a wealth of gorgeous recordings to cherish forever. This is one of my favorite performances of all time. Nice commentary 🌺✌️

Love Linda's version of this Tracy Nelson song from her band Mother Earth (title song also full of soul). That was where I first heard this song and was so stunned by the emotion. So many beautiful songs by Linda, hope you will react to more of them.

As someone else commented, this song was written by the iconic Tracy Nelson, then of Mother Earth. Here's a live version of her from 1987 -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipnLgJitnr-Kq5o She still performs the song these days, usually as part of The Blues Broads, a group of 4 fantastic blues ladies. And Tracy was nominated for a Grammy this year for her first album in 10 years.

Tracy became a friend of mine when my late husband was the booking agent for The Blues Broads, and I've stayed close to the group since then. Here's a video of her performing "Down So Low" in 2017 at an outdoor venue in Marin County CA. I was there and it was great. Awesome choice for a reaction, since I was not familiar with the song. When I was on the Flower Power cruise, the host for the cruise was Peter Asher. Peter has had a storied life in the music industry, beginning as part of Peter and Gordon in the early to mid 60's. Peter went into management and his first artist was James Taylor and he went on to manage Linda and many other artists. Peter said during his presentation, he remains good friends with Linda Ronstadt and visits her at every chance. Have to believe there are many who help Linda through her fight with Parkinson's.

Linda Ronstadt was a favorite of mine in the seventies, when I bought many of her albums and saw her live at the Lion's Share, a small club north of San Francisco. Her version of "Desperado" got more air play than the Eagles' since theirs wasn't released as a single, and I prefer her version of "I Will Always Love You" to Whitney's.

Written by Tracy Nelson in the 60's the song is about her relationship with musician Steve Miller......you should react to some of his music especially the early stuff like Kow Kow Calculater or Your saving Grace
