You're No Good was released to pop/rock radio on Nov 25, 1974 as I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You) to country. They're from her Heart Like a Wheel album. By February of 75 both songs were at the top of the charts. You're No Good at the top of pop/rock and R&B, I Can't Help It at the top of country. Linda is the first artist to have songs at the top of 3 charts at the same time.

Linda Ronstadt had a # 3 R&B hit with us and a # 1 pop hit Linda sang folk, alternative country, country rock. She released two albums of pop standards from the 1940s. She also released three Spanish language albums 2 mariachi Family is Mexican and Salsa album. She recorded as a group with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris called TRIO She’s appeared on Broadway in the light opera Pirates of Penzance, and she also sang La Bohème in New York. She has experimented with jazz any kind of music that she was exposed her before she was 10 years old. She feels she can sing authentically.

Linda Ronstadt's vocal range is phenomenal. I would suggest this song that demonstrates this "Linda Ronstadt & James Ingram - Somewhere Out There" James Ingram was an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He was a two-time Grammy award winner and a two-time Academy award nominee. He began his career in 1973 and charted 8 Top 40 hits in the US. Unfortunately Linda was upstaged here visually by the backup singer in the yellow suit. Too hard to take your eyes off of her. That is why lead singers need to pay attention to the visual presentation. No question Linda was an amazing singer and performer but sometimes a little detail can spoil it.

@@noelco2 I still say she was a visual distraction. Not her fault of course. Somebody should have had control over costumes to ensure Linda stood out. As it was she (Linda) had hardly any visual presence.
