A Class Act? I read Linda Thompson's book and thought it was such a tell-all. She painted her two ex-husbands in such a terrible night. She made Bruce Jenner and David Foster seem like jerks. Also, the way she went into detail about Elvis's drug use was so tacky. How Elvis' buttocks had so many scars from injection use and how once he almost drowned in a bowl of soup because he was so loaded. She also wrote that Elvis was "an ass and leg man, he did not like big boobs". WTF? I mean really, was all that necessary? I can't imagine Lisa reading that. Lately she's also been throwing a lot of shade at Priscilla Presley over the new Elvis movie. Linda has a mean streak in her but likes to hide it with that little sweet Southern Belle facade. It's no wonder Lisa Marie isn't in touch with her anymore! Linda talks a lot, can't hold water.

1 of the reasons I love & respect Linda is because she truly cared for Elvis & tried to be there for him. Yet some women can only handle soo much & aren't strong enough to handle it. She wasn't strong enough especially being only 20-24 I think. While I'm strong & have had to deal with my husband in the same way, being her same age with him having some of the same exact issues. While others walked away from my husband like Elvis, only coming around when in need like for $ because they knew he would give it. He tried & did many things that make most women run & tried to push me away & ignore my help. I've always stuck by his side & helped him get over the bumps,addictions,bad times & immaturity(well he's somewhat mature now) lol. Lynda wasn't as strong as some women & she couldnt handle watching it anymore. I'm sure she had or still has regrets even though it's not her fault. I do wish that she would of been strong enough & stayed longer or married him because I believe he would of lived even gotten better . She was the perfect women for him. I honestly believe had every1 not walked out on him especially back to back all at once, he would of snapped out of it with constant help & support. Knowing & seeing he had people who truly cared for him & weren't going anywhere no matter what he did. Addicts cant change quickly it takes some yrs my husband still is working on things 9yrs later. I wish people would of tried longer for Elvis. Instead Elvis seen people use him, abondon him & it make him depressed,feeling worthless & not care enough about life to try to live anymore. She was my in early 20s but still the perfect women for Elvis. While some may get mad , I say Cilla was more kiddy/puppy in love with him & the idea of being with Elvis the star. I believe being a kid obsessed with & being with Elvis Presley the celebrity. Being only 13 or 14 when she met him even still at 17+ when moving in. She damn sure was too young to handle such a life that SHE to begged for. To be with an older man/ well known celeb or to truly be in love at all especially him. She was more obsessed & in puppy love. Linda was 20 something when she left him I believe so she was more mature then Cilla . I truly believe she loved him & as Elvis the human being with issues & feelings that everyone has & not Elvis the celebrity. I wish we could of been born the same time & got to grow up together. I would of never walked away & been there for him as either his family or friend he needed. Especially at the most time he needed people then. I would of never allowed him to give up like he did & leave his daughter behind. I know the Presley men in his family are. I grew up around them & know how they are & how also addicts are. Presley men are handsome, most now with Indian blood from their mom, with a natural tan. Their loving & caring but also have ADHD. Yet sweet but can be stubborn as hell & like to be center of attention at big events lol. R.I.H Elvis Arron Presley I wish I could of been at the memorial last week. Even though they have the nerve to charge $ for that to, but I'm planning my 1st trip for this May 2019 to visit Graceland my cousin.

I agree with so much of what you have said here. Linda said that she was 22 when she and Elvis met at a movie theatre that Elvis had rented for the night and she was with him almost five years until the fall of1976 which would have made her around 26 or 27 when she left. She had just finished her term as Miss Tennessee when Elvis and she met. Elvis and Linda had a lot in common where they were both from the south. While I admire and appreciate that Linda took such good care of him for almost 5 years, I too wish that she would have stayed longer because Elvis really needed her and I believe that he would have married her, He was so tired from all the years he performed two shows a night in Vegas just to support Parker's gambling addiction, and right after Linda left Elvis called Precilla and begged her to come back. Elvis told her that all he wanted was his family back and Precilla told him that she wasn't ever comeing back. It was the first time that she had told him never according to his closest friends. He was so hurt because he had just found out about the book that Red West and Sonny West were writing about him that came out I believe 8 or 9 days after Elvis passed. Precilla didn't need him anymore. After all she had the two million from the divorce and he had already bought her a beautiful home that she and Mike Stone were living in and Elvis had already paid for it and Precilla is on tv talking about being so in love with Mike. Around a month later he met Ginger which looked alot like Precilla at the time. To Elvis Precilla or Cilla as he called her was gone, Linda was gone and he had been betrayed by Red and Sonny, the ones that were supposed to have loved him and protect him. Linda was more like a nurse and Mother to him than a girlfriend. She even stayed with him in the hospital three times. She said that Elvis had them to put her a bed in his hospital room with him and she wore pajamas just like him even though there was nothing at all wrong with her. Elvis had her to answer the phone and monitor his calls. That is the kind of attention and woman he needed. Two out of those 3 times he was in the hospital Linda had talked Elvis into checking in to get help and get weened down from his addiction. Like you I just wish that she would have stayed and I don't blame her for what happened to Elvis but I truly believe that he would not have died when he did because Linda monitored the meds that they brought to him and even helped him lose weight a few times by teaching him about calories intake and healthy foods but she said Elvis being from the south liked only certain foods. I watched a show last week where Linda was the guest and she said that it hurt her very bad when she left but that she couldn t handle watching Elvis self destruct right before her eyes, and that she wanted to have children and while Elvis wanted more children that she knew she couldn t bring children into the environment that they lived in where they slept all day and stayed up all night. She said it was like living in a cocoon blocked out from the rest of the world and that it was never just her and Elvis there was always his friends and bodyguards that became known as the Memphis Mofia. Elvis was a money cow to many of them. Again like you I believe that most of them were there for the money , cars, jewelry and women that Elvis attracted. I wish so badly that Linda would have stayed because I know for sure that he wouldn t have laid on the bathroom floor and died alone. Ginger had just turned twenty when she and Elvis got together and only wanted to be with him because of who he was and to show him off to her friends and of course get what she could. She was only with him 9 months and Elvis told several people closest to him that he wasn't going to marry into that family. He even bought her mother and father a home. Even at his last concert he only introduced Ginger at his girlfriend not his fiance. Ginger was young and wasn't smart like Linda and I am not blameing Ginger for his death either however she did sleep almost 8 hours before checking on Elvis. That is a long time to not realize that your boyfriend has not came back to bed. Linda said that she would always go check on him and wouldn't go to sleep until Elvis did. Linda also said that even though she knew it wasn't her fault that for a long time it bothered her because she left. It is just so heartbreaking that such a bright loveing man who was loved by millions died alone.

Elvis shot the TV with Robert Guleg on because he thought Anita & Robert had a thing when Elvis was in the army. Anita was a singer on a TV show when Elvis wanted to meet her. Anita and Elvis dated for several years then Elvis went into the Army. Gladys wanted Elvis to marry Anita. Robert said he would take good care of Anita while Elvis was away & Elvis got pissed off. Its funny that a decade later, Elvis was still angry with Robert. Anita is still beautiful. All Elvis girlfriends are still lovley.
