It's funny,but at 12 I was glued to this show . I never saw any "ggofs". Watching as an old lady I notice them, but when I experienced the show new it was nothing but perfection.

Barry called it dumb shadows after Frid just got done saying he'd like to see it all done perfectly and taken seriously, nothing dumb about DARK SHADOWS., IT WAS MARVELOUS.

Based on the few clues given, I think Barry must have done a radio spoof of Dark Shadows, literally called "Dumb Shadows". There was a break at about 10:30 when Ron Barry said he was going to play a scene from Dumb Shadows for Jonathan Frid and the radio audience. It was unheard by us un this recording, but Jonathan Frid laughed and said it was "very funny". Ron Barry replied, "I'm glad you like it."
