Hi Linda, can you please add a link to the big stainless funnel you use? Thanks!

Linda, do you have a food mill? I learned this tip from Chef Deborah Schneider. Pass your sauce through your food mill. (I have an OXO). That step removes all the skins and leaves a velvety sauce. The skins can be bitter. My sister used her Vitamix for the sauce and didn’t think she needed to strain it. I recommended she try the food mill anyway. We were amazed at how much skin was removed even after using the Vitamix. Your sauce will be extra wonderful. Thanks for your recipe and techniques. Always appreciated.

I always strain mind because I don't want any bitter taste to it at all and it does make a difference you are absolutely right

What happens after you make a pot of sauce and a pot of boiled pork? Is there a 2nd video showing how you make the dish?

Looks good, but no hominy? If I made it the traditional way with hominy would I be able to can it?
@LindasPantry3 жыл бұрын
Coming up in my next video you'll find out why I didn't put the harmony in on camera even though I did put harmony into the portion I took to my daughters I did not for the canning session so I didn't want it to turn to mush

Linda, I tested not POSOLE ROJO DE PUERCO without Hominy. Shame, shame shame! Lol pooled means corn, rojo means red and Puerto means pig/pork. So where is the posole? Am I getting from you that hominy doesn't can well? Do you or should pooled lovers add it during the reheat? However, then you wouldn't be getting the flavor of the hominy infused. Your thoughts??
@michelll53 жыл бұрын
Canned hominy can turn to mush. It is best to add it when you get the pozole out of the jar en then you add the hominy when you reheat it. A good half an hour simmer will do to infuse the hominy flavors ito the pozole

Sometimes I leave it without the harmony or you can put corn in there if you want that flavour

Will you be showing the completion of the dish? I’ve never heard of this before.
@bettypierce53233 жыл бұрын
It’s at the end of the video. It’s a bowl of soup that’s been garnished with green onions, radish, cilantro and a squeeze of lemon. Lol, i don’t remember her putting hominy in the soup. I’ll have to watch again. She did.
@melodyrae50763 жыл бұрын
I was referring to the completion of the soup . I saw the pork and the sauce put together nothing else. It was supposed to have other ingredients a picture doesn’t really tell me anything other than looking good. Like I said I’ve never even heard of this dish and was hoping to see the whole process. What do you do after you put the sauce in the pork? Is it ready to eat? What else do you add etc.

@@melodyrae5076 I’m wondering as well, because I’ve never heard of it either.
