lesson learned! Last week you said .... Go to things that friends invite you to.... I did just that this afternoon.. after hearing what you said, I went to an anniversary party of a friend. It was hot... I was working all morning in the garden and just wanted to stay in the cool of my home. Thank you for that! It was a wonderful time and I met some new people .! Hi from Annie you girls look great in your clothes there I liked the navy n white striped shirt and that big red bag best of all. the wellies look good I got a beige colored pair a few wks ago ankle length at Target, just wear them around the house for now, in the garden as well. I got a book from library it is, natural herbal remedies titled "The witch's guide to wellness", I have had a copy of "The Da Vinci Code" movie made as well with Tom Hanks in it have not finished reading it from last season.

I picked up a book at a book sale, that I just couldn't pass up, as I love old books. "A Field Guide to Trees and Shrubs" by George A. Petrides, 1958. It's in great condition. It is filled with so much information about trees and shrubs. Inside the front cover it is marked in pencil .50. That is exactly what I paid for it!! In his book's introduction, Mr. Petrides served from 1940 to 1943 as a naturalist with the National Park Service, and his interest in publishing the book was also in part created by a course he attended on woody plants at Cornell University. It's a keeper!!

Regarding Leah's cowgirl look...IMHO I think the "controversial" flowy top over the flowy bottom works well for several reasons. 1) both ruffles have the same soft/loose gather and a similar length so they look like they belong together. 2) the curved seam on the blouse gives it some interest and breaks up the 2 straight seam lines 3) @ 11:30 you can see the proportions are perfect, neither the top nor skirt is overwhelming the other and it fits Leah' size/shape beautifully. Second comment...the bag looks very similar to one my Mother had in the 1950's that she kept her knitting projects in. I wonder if other viewers could share what they think the bag was originally designed for. Fun video!
