A great band and a great artist Alan Hull, often described as the Bob Dylan of the North East, but he was more , much more than that. He was also a great human being, so much unsung by the UK. Sad... it takes someone from Algeria to shine a light on this great, great man

Jeese, first group I ever saw live in Reading Town Hall, 1974. Here 23/03/2019 and listening for first time since then, Big WOW, lots of emotion and memories. A much under-rated band!

Worked up that way , when they were building the Metro centre in the late eighties. Fucking great people, loved it up there, doing 12 , 14 hour shifts, but it was such a great place, digs in Witley bay. God! memories.

@goldheartbadge5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Rod Clements leads the current version - which also includes 90s members Dave Hull-Denholm (the late Alan Hull's son-in-law) and Ian Thomson, plus the band's late 80s producer Steve Daggett. Ray Jackson retired in 2015, the same year guitarist Si Cowe (with the red hair) passed away.

So sad that some have passed away. I had the privilege of working with Geordies for a lot of years and this was their anthem. I love my visits to Newcastle and I will regret to my dying day that I never saw Lindisfarne live in the 80s. I salute all Geordies and their hard working culture.
