I wonder at the people giving this the thumbs down! This girl is supernatural in her abilities. Looking at other videos she's made it appears that she is a classically trained dancer. Her voice is SO pure. AND she plays the violin beautifully. She's beautiful and hugely talented. How many other people think she's super human?

Very fey, and other worldly. Her ballet moves were awe inspiring and her voice, haunting. I could not tell if she was actually playing the violin or not; I thought not, but I’m willing to be corrected. I have seen Doug Kershaw dancing on stage Cajun style playing with the violin held in front of him, kinda barely touching his arm, while he dances and sings away, never missing a word, step, or playing a wrong note. Of course, he’s about as far from haunting as anyone could get. I read about this song in a book, called it an old Appalachian song, seldom heard, so I looked it up. It could even be one of the Childe songs, written down when song catchers went into the mountains and asked anyone who would talk to them to sing the old songs and many did; it was a way of preserving some of their history and culture. I’m glad I found it here, and so artfully fine. The old folk and little people would like it, I am sure.

I've recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma, & I have Crohn's disease & am raising my 2 beautiful girls alone, now that he is gone, & I catch myself complaining... like today, waking up with the worst migraine [probably from all the smoke from the Calif fires] Anyway, I digress... I was thinking of Dad while making eggs for breakfast, & again this song came upon my lips! I sang it out loud on behalf of my Dad [R.I.P. Joseph Joshua]! I did not know Lindsey made a video or even performed this song... We didn't have the money to go see her. The second, when I was in training for the military. I was going on Christmas leave and she was playing in two places close to Georgia. I was going the my grandmother's house, but she couldn't get anyone to house sit for two extra days. (My debit information got stolen anyways, so I wouldn't have been able to pay for it anyways.) The third was canceled because of covid. I forget where she was even playing, but it was close. Now I'm looking at the show she is doing next year on August 12th in Michigan. Probably not going to be able to see her then because I'm in college. Then again, it is a Thursday. Mmmm.
