@@Hiraghm You're right, her skills, the video making, shows, everything has improved so much since then, and I'm sure will continue to get better, but the judges, not only Sharon, were talking about the general idea Lindsey was bringing foward - a solo dancing violinist. So it might not have been as elaborate and grand as it is now, but the essence is the same :) And just how did you write "this" in italic? My theory is that this song is about breaking free and never giving up hope. Lindsey is clearly chained down, but thanks to her own strength and music she manages to break free from those chains and walk her own path. The couple is trapped in a square room with no way out, they lash out and try getting out on their own but they can't find a way, until they start working together to find a solution and a new path opens up. Finally, the girl of the ring is sorrounded by darkness, with only a beam of light shining on her. She struggles not to fall deeper down, but just when she needs it someone comes to help her out of that darkness and she breaks free as well. I'd say then Artemis is the one who's helping all of them, giving them hope by bringing back the moon on a city that's constantly covered by the storm. So breaking free on your own, Breaking free with someone else, And breaking free thanks to someone else! That's my theory anyway.
@naeratillnaturen3 жыл бұрын
I know I'm 5 months late, but I like this theory. You can really see how helpless and hopeless they feel. Combined with the music it becomes even better. Their world in which they feel trapped and depressed with no way out... until they manage to get out on their own or with others. I like everything you said. It put my thoughts into words haha. I feel like many people can relate to the characters in the video.
@ginamkrtchyan30652 жыл бұрын
You're right, I got the sense that Lindsey was trying to say that different people get out of bad situations where they feel trapped in their own way. Some people cope on their own by focusing on their passion, some people confide in a partner to work together, and some need faith in whatever they believe in. I like to think that she was trying to say that no matter how bad the situation is, you need to never lose hope and if something doesn't work then try again with a different method

The doctors told my parents I would have really hard physical and mental disorders right after my birth. (3 months too early born, not even a big chance of surviving with the medication state back then). But now - 30 years later - I have my own life, have a fiancé, I truly love, got 4 degrees (businesswoman; medical secretary - a retraining to computer scientist, now web developer) and a job which I love to do. So... Everyone who's saying "You can't do that." is wrong as long as you believe in yourself. Had a hard time to learn that but well... it worked out somehow.

I saw your documentary and it felt like the most sincere and honest documentary I've seen from any famous musician. Believe me, I've been searching for growth, and you are an incredible artist for being able to compose inspiration. I just want to say thank you. It's great to see VR music games maturing and showing what's possible- this is best done VR music anything I've played so far, they really raised the bar. I admit, I've never really listened much to your music before (I normally prefer other genres), but I can still appreciate great music, immediately bought the pack when it was released, and ended up playing nothing but those 5 songs for about 3 hours straight at the Synth Riders online multiplayer launch party with the devs last night. Gobsmacked. That's the only word I can think of that describes how I was after seeing & hearing this for the first time. It struck me as straight from Cirque du Soleil, and I mean that as the highest form of praise, as I feel that Cirque is the pinnacle of musical and theatrical entertainment. I first heard of Lindsey through her collaborations with Pentatonix, both in their cover of Radioactive and their more recent rendition of Over The River. When I noticed they had worked with her a second time (and I enjoyed her performances in both pieces), I thought I should check her work out, and I figured I'd start with her most recent album. This being the first track of that album, I was not ready and was completely blown away. Since then, I've watched/listened to all of her albums and am a dedicated Lindsey Stirling fan through and through! The only problem with buying her albums is that you only get half the experience, because the videos are AMAZING!! Now, is she a violinist who dances or a dancer who plays violin? (The former, I know, but she's SO GOOD at both!)
@michaeldew19922 жыл бұрын
@@timgrant1219 Obviously I did, so I went back and re-watched it. She didn't seem to have as prominent a role as she did in their other videos; maybe because it was still early in her career and she hadn't made a name for herself yet?
