I watched the entire video and I'm still not sure what you did. Can you add to the description or maybe comments in the video with the actual steps, and where you inserted the cardboard washers? That would be helpful.

Hi Vinay, my apologies for having insufficient details. To answer your question, here are the steps: 1. take the bolt out, 2. put the metal washer in, 3. put a cardboard washer (optional) 4. put a cardboard washer in between the pedal and where you mount it on the case, 5. slowly slide the bolt and before it gets to the otherside, do step 4 again, 6. put the knot and tighten it. The idea there is, fill some space between the bolt and the knot. Putting the cardboard in between won't grind the two metal contacts.
